Matt Kemp: Los Angeles Dodgers OF Will Cool Off Against Milwaukee's Randy Wolf

Jeff GrantJun 7, 2018

The Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers will close out a three-game National League series on Thursday afternoon inside Miller Park in Milwaukee, with the first pitch scheduled for 1:10 p.m. ET.

Las Vegas oddsmakers have established the Brewers as solid minus-136 home favorites, while the total stands at 8.5.

Dodgers starting pitcher Aaron Harang (0-1, 5.91 ERA) will be making his third start of the season, and first against a team other than the San Diego Padres.  The right-hander suffered an 8-4 loss at Petco Park to open the year, allowing four runs (three earned) and seven hits over just 4.1 frames.

The right-hander will be making his 23rd career appearance (22nd start) versus the Brewers, posting an even 5-5 mark and 4.38 ERA, while tossing eight scoreless innings in a no-decision effort at home last year.

Sports bettors will find that the Dodgers are 8-1 in their last nine games against left-handed starters, while the "over" is on a 3-0-1 run in that situation.

Milwaukee will send Randy Wolf (0-1, 10.61 ERA) out to the mound for a third time this year, as he comes off a dreadful 10-8 road loss to the Atlanta Braves in his last effort. He allowed eight runs and nine hits over just 4.1 innings of work.

In 12 lifetime outings versus the Dodgers, the left-hander has tallied an even 4-4 mark and 3.29 ERA, including an even 1-1 record and 1.35 ERA in two starts last year.

He has limited Dodgers' slugger Matt Kemp to just one hit in 10 career at-bats, sending him down via strikeout seven times.

The Brewers are 10-4 in Wolf's last 14 home starts, while the "over" is 5-1 in his last six outings overall.

Weather forecasts are predicting rain in the Milwaukee area, which will likely cause the stadium's roof to be closed for this contest.
