2012 Early Fantasy Football Tight End Rankings
Here is an early look at the 2012 LestersLegends tight end rankings.ย
1. Rob Gronkowski, New England Patriots: With 1,327 yards and 17 TDs (plus a rushing score) last season. Gronk is ridiculous.
2. ย Jimmy Graham, New Orleans Saints:ย It's hard to argue with 1,310 yards and 11 TDs.
3. ย Vernon Davis, San Francisco 49ers:ย He really blossomed during the NFL playoffs. Heโs too big for defensive backs and too fast for linebackers.
4. ย Aaron Hernandez, New England Patriots: He had 910 yards and seven scores last season. He is versatile and an amazing compliment to Gronk.
5. ย Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys: ย Ho hum. Another 900-plus-yard season for Witten.
6. ย Tony Gonzalez, Atlanta Falcons: ย He just keeps on churning.
7. ย Antonio Gates, San Diego Chargers: ย Given his age in comparison to Gonzo, I never thought heโd be a riskier option. That just isnโt the case. If he can stay healthy, he can produce. That just seems to be too big of a challenge though.
8. ย Jermichael Finley, Green Bay Packers: ย The potential remains, but itโs put-up or shut-up time if he wants to be considered elite. Staying healthy would be a start.
9. ย Brandon Pettigrew, Detroit Lions:ย He made big strides last year, catching 83 balls for 777 yards and five scores.
10. ย Fred Davis, Washington Redskins:ย He emerged last year before his suspension. He should be a security blanket for RG3.
