Madden 2013 releases for multiple video game formats in August. As the draft approaches and free agency slows we're getting a good idea of what the rosters will look like.
This will have a huge effect on which teams are the most popular choices for gamers when playing online.
Playing Madden abroad is not like traditional fan love. Very few people pick their favorite team to play with—unless they live in Green Bay, New England or Philadelphia. Most pick a team that fits the style of game they like to play.

As the rosters come into focus, here are the five teams sure to be in heavy rotation when the game releases and gamers take to EA's servers.
The Dream Team was much more effective in virtual football than they were in real life. Most gamers love speedy players and the Eagles are sure to have a host of them again this year.
It all starts with Mike Vick, but LeSean McCoy, DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin are sure to have speed ratings in the 90s as well.
Throw into the mix the addition of DeMeco Ryans at MLB, and the returning Trent Cole at DE and the Eagles will be popular again.

I expect RG3's accuracy and awareness ratings to keep him at about a 75 overall—but still, the speed will be deadly in the hands of the right sports gamer.
A team that started to gain popularity last year because of Cam Newton should be even more popular this year. I expect Newton to improve, as well as the Panthers overall.
Drafting a quality defensive player will also entice players to run with the Panthers. Still, most of the appeal is about Cam Newton.
He may very well be the cover athlete as well.
They won it all last year. That will make them the default for many gamers. Eli Manning's overall rating will likely be his highest ever on the game. There could be 85-plus ratings for Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks as well.
Jason Pierre-Paul carries the charisma torch for the defense, and the G-Men will have their share of takers online.
