2012 NFL Schedule: High-Profile Contests That Will Showcase Dynamic Superstars
Football is the ultimate team sport in my opinion, but there are players that are so singularly dynamic, they are worth the price of admission alone.
When two of those players compete in the same game, you have something special.
As usual, there are a few of those instances on the 2012 NFL schedule. Here are four that stand out for me, as we anxiously await the season.

Colts Release Kenny Moore

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins - Mike Vick and Robert Griffin III
Of course, these two teams will meet twice, but I chose the meeting in Washington because RG3 would presumably be at his best at home and this is where Vick went nuts on the 'Skins in 2010.
The plays that could possibly come out of this matchup may be replayed on highlight shows all year. RG3 is the best athlete the position has seen since Vick came into the league in 2001.
I know, RG3 hasn't officially become a Redskin, but it's as much a foregone conclusion as Andrew Luck to the Colts at No. 1.
This could be a dynamic matchup for the next three or four years in the NFC East.
Detroit Lions at San Francisco 49ers - Calvin Johnson and Randy Moss
The two most gifted wide receivers I've ever had the privilege of watching will play in the same game. Moss once did things on a football that no other player on the planet could emulate—Megatron has even surpassed that, as far as athleticism.
If Moss is anywhere close to his Hall of Fame self, the Niners will be strong contenders. At 36, Moss is about 10 years removed from the player Megatron is now, but it'll still be cool to see them in the same game.
New Orleans at Denver Broncos - Drew Brees and Peyton Manning
Bounties and polarizing QB-exits aside, this is a matchup of two of the game's greatest QBs. This will be a huge test for the Broncos. It will let us know if this team is a real contender.
Aside from the in-season relevance, it's also another opportunity to see two future Hall of Famers collide. It'll be their first meeting since they clashed in Super Bowl XLIV.
Carolina Panthers at Washington Redskins - Cam Newton and Robert Griffin III
How often do you get a chance to see the last two Heisman Trophy winners battle each other head to head at the QB position?
How about never?
The last two Heisman Trophy winners have never met as starting QBs in a NFL game. If RG3 is drafted by the Skins and he earns the starting job, we'll see NFL history.
It could also be EA Sports' history. QB cover athletes from Madden and NCAA Football have never met in the same season either. All this and two of the most dynamic players in the NFL.
