New York Giants Quarterback Eli Manning to Host Saturday Night Live
For years, many questioned whether or not New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning could ever replicate his brother Peyton's on-field accomplishment of winning a Super Bowl.
Seems like a long time ago, right?
Now, exactly three months after surpassing his brother with a second ring, Eli will take center stage in a different sort of arena when he plays host for Saturday Night Live on May 5th, once again on a quest to show that—like the elder Peyton—he too can handle the bright lights of show business.

Athletes have long been favorite guest hosts of the show, as such familiar faces as Derek Jeter, Charles Barkley, Tom Brady, LeBron James, Michael Phelps and, yes, Peyton Manning have previously served as theatrical guest/emcee.
While no word has been sent on what personalities/characters we will see Eli take on, we do know that he'll be joined on stage by musical superstar Rihanna, who will perform for the third time on the hit comedy sketch show.
It's just the latest in a string of good events to take place in Eli's life, as he celebrated his second Super Bowl victory while simultaneously cementing his status as an elite NFL quarterback.
Long gone are the days of wondering whether the pressure of New York was too much for the former Ole Miss quarterback to handle.
Now, we'll just have to see if he can act.
