Five of the eight series are tied at one game apiece through two games, while the L.A. Kings and Philadelphia Flyers have Vancouver and Pittsburgh down 2-0 to the surprise of everyone.
With important Game 3s coming up, the Washington Capitals are one of several teams that know they face a must-win situation.

These are the three teams that must come out on top in Game 3 of their respective series.
They boasted the best record in hockey, yet that just wasn't good enough.
Down 2-0 against the L.A. Kings, an explosive attack has gotten these Canucks in a deep hole heading into Game 3. Going down 3-0 will end Vancouver's chances at taking this series, as Game 3 is a must-win for this team.
Goalie Roberto Luongo has been especially strong for the team all season long, yet in the last two games he has been swarmed. There is no question his ability to step up will be key for this team this series.
Getting a win in Game 3 is a must for these Canucks. Look for RW Alex Burrows to get his fair share of opportunities for goals in this contest.
Washington Capitals
Although the Capitals now have their series tied at one game a piece, there is still all the reason to believe that this team needs Game 3 to win the series.
An experienced team and last year's champions, the Bruins don't necessarily need this game to move on. The Caps, on the other hand, certainly do.
Come postseason time, it is strong goalie play that tends to help teams make deep runs. In spite of the Bruins' loss Saturday, the team still boasts fantastic goaltending behind Tim Thomas.
It took two overtime periods for the Capitals to get that second goal, as Thomas has had himself a solid postseason showing.
Expect the Capitals to come at the Bruins early and often in Game 3 in Washington, as there is no doubt this team needs this game to overcome Thomas and his Bruins this series.
The Pittsburgh Penguins are now in a 2-0 hole that could have well been a 2-0 lead for this team, as the team has failed to hold leads in each of the first two bouts against the Philadelphia Flyers.
In a Game 1, a three-goal lead was overcome by the Flyers as the team would eventually top Pittsburgh in OT.
After going into the third period of Game 2 tied at four, the Flyers would outscore the Penguins 4-1 in the third period, making a mockery of the Penguins with a total of eight goals.
A 3-0 hole against a team as tough and talented as the Flyers is something Sid the Kid and his team cannot afford heading into their third game. Expect Pittsburgh to come out strong once again, as holding the lead will again become the issue in this vital Game 3.
