Baseball's 10 Most Overplayed Batting Intro Songs
Choosing walk-up music is no doubt an important decision for all baseball players, as it does more than just create noise—it also says something about the player, be it where he's from, what his tastes are like, or whatever else he may have in mind.
Some music is original, others are classics, while others still find themselves choosing more mainstream music that's heard on a more frequent basis.
Here are some songs that you might hear more often than you'd like if you spend enough time at your home stadiums.
Lynyrd Skynyrd: Sweet Home Alabama
1 of 10With a number of current players including Josh Willingham, Matt Cain, Delmon Young and Jake Peavy hailing from Alabama, it's not all that uncommon to hear the Lynyrd Skynyrd classic playing over the loudspeakers.
Pitbull: The Anthem
2 of 10Pitbull is one of the most popular hip hop artists out there today, and since it's all about what's hot right now, there's plenty of stadiums where you can hear the south Florida native paying homage to Miami.

Zac Brown Band: Chicken Fried
3 of 10I tend to agree with the Zac Brown Band, as I do like my chicken fried and often enjoy cold beer on a friday night—and I do actually like the song.
However, hearing it both when batters come up to the plate as well as between innings when fans sing along with the big screen can get pretty old.
DMX: Party Up
4 of 10I don't remember who the batter was, but I heard this song while watching a game a couple weeks back and instantly wondered if anyone still cared about or liked DMX.
Maybe the "classics" just never grow old.

Franz Ferdinand: Take Me Out
5 of 10I guess Franz Ferdinand should be thanking major league baseball players for using his catchy tune as their walk-up music, because that may very well be the only way anyone would ever hear it.
Biz Markie: Just a Friend
6 of 10As if a fan-led rendition of "Sweet Caroline" isn't enough, Kevin Youkilis is lucky enough to have the Red Sox faithful serenade him as he steps up to the plate.
Disturbed: Down With The Sickness
7 of 10Disturbed's "Down With the Sickness" is certainly a good song to get pumped up, so I guess I can understand why a player would want to walk up to this song, though I'm guessing it's played in clubhouse's pre-game a lot more often.

Lupe Fiasco: The Show Goes On
8 of 10A song like Lupe Fiasco's "The Show Goes On" can at times be very applicable to the game of baseball, evidenced by the song being former Twins back-up catcher Drew Butera's walk up music.
He was demoted to class-AAA in spring training, and wouldn't you know it, the show went on.

Creed: Bullets
9 of 10Given the hard time they seem to get in both the media and general public, Creed may be the most disliked rock band out there (or maybe Nickelback), so it's only fitting that baseball's most disliked player, A.J. Pierzynski, uses Creed to step up to the plate.
MIMS: This Is Why I'm Hot
10 of 10MIMS' "This is Why I'm Hot" is probably the worst walk-up song ever used, at one time used by none other than Alex Rodriguez.
Choosing a song like that may not make you a fan favorite, but then again, the lyrics do seem to accurately sum up the way A-Rod probably feels about himself:
""I'm hot cause I'm fly, you ain't cause you're not. This is why, this is why, this is why I'm hot."
