Bobby Petrino: Fired Head Coach Allegedly Exchanged Messages with Former Model
We may have only scratched the surface of former Arkansas head football coach Bobby Petrino and his dalliances out of marriage. A report alleges that he also exchanged many text messages with a former model over a two-month period.
Deadspin's Barry Petchesky reports Petrino's phone log, which has become public fodder, includes "at least 200 messages" over a two-month period to a number belonging to Alison Melder.
Petrino's phone records, which includes hundreds of text messages shared between the ex-coach and Dorrell, have come to the surface in the last few days.
ESPN.com reports many of those came just before football games.
The digging uncovers that Melder, 26, has worked with the Young Republicans as well as on the gubernatorial campaign of Jim Keet.
As Petchesky reports, Petrino has never been the most politically driven of individuals.
"It's not clear what Melder's connection to Petrino is. His voter registration shows he's not officially affiliated with any party, and there's no record of any campaign contributions. We've reached out to Melder and we'll update if we hear back.
"
Melder also showed a passion for modeling, and Deadspin ran down her profile on TalentFinder.tv, which includes shots of Melder in bikini and lingerie images.
The report issues that there were a total of seven picture messages sent, all from Melder to Petrino.
