EPL Transfer Rumours: 1 Player Each English Side Is Rumoured to Sell This Summer

Peter WebsterJun 7, 2018

As the Premier League approaches the business end of the season, the summer transfer window looms ever closer.

No matter who you support, you can rest assured that there will be gossip out there somewhere regarding one of your players leaving or somebody else's arriving.

Here is a team-by-team list of who is the rumoured departing candidate from every Premier League club in the summer.

Arsenal

1 of 21

Marouane Chamakh is the forgotten man of Arsenal, and with Robin van Persie in such fantastic form, you could be forgiven for thinking Chamakh had already left the club.

Arsene Wenger has recently stated that it is possible that Chamakh could leave in the summer, and I wouldn't bet against it.

Aston Villa

The Mail reports that former England supremo Emile William Ivanhoe Heskey is the man set to lead the summer exodus at Villa Park.

Heskey goals have become rarer by the season, and he could leave on a free transfer once the 2011/12 season has finished.

Blackburn

Losing David "Junior" Hoilett in the summer would be a terrible blow for Blackburn Rovers, but unfortunately it seems inevitable.

The Mail has Tottenham Hotspur in the driving seat for the Canadian's signature in the summer, with any fee likely to be settled via a tribunal.

Bolton Wanderers

Bolton striker Kevin Davies has found pitch time hard to come by this season.

The England striker was subject of much speculation in January when it emerged that Martin O'Neil wanted to take him to Sunderland for £1.5 million.

Could a summer move now be in the cards?

Chelsea

5 of 21

Despite the exit of Andre Villas-Boas from Chelsea, Florent Malouda still doesn't seem to be required by the club, as new manager Roberto Di Matteo also consistently leaves out the Frenchman.

After the summer, Malouda will have just a year left on his contract, leading to speculation he may be sold before the 2012/13 season begins.

Everton

6 of 21

In truth, Everton don't have much gossip surrounding them currently, particularly regarding players who could exit the club.

Johnny Heitinga may be one whose name crops up in a few months after he was believed to have been offered to La Liga side Real Mallorca in January.

A move never materialised, and Heitinga may now be set for a new deal with the blue half of Merseyside.

What a difference a few months makes.

Fulham

7 of 21

The Mail online has reported that Tottenham, Liverpool and Arsenal are all interested in signing Fulham playmaker Moussa Dembele in the summer.

Fulham are currently in talks with Dembele over a new deal and will be hopeful that he commits his future before he gets his head turned.

Liverpool

8 of 21

Liverpool's midfield workhorse could finally be calling time on his Anfield career.

Dirk Kuyt will have just a year remaining on his contract come the summer, and Liverpool seem reluctant to offer him a new deal, suggesting he will be playing elsewhere next season.

The latest rumours suggest Roma could be a possible destination for the Dutchman.

Manchester City

9 of 21

After two seasons away from Etihad Stadium at Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur, Emmanuel Adebayor looks set to finally make a permanent move in the summer.

Whilst Tottenham are assessing the player's wage demands, Roberto Mancini has suggested that there are multiple interested parties.

Manchester United

10 of 21

Manchester United have moved to protect their investment by activating a year's contract extension on Dimitar Berbatov's contract.

His agent has declared that Alex Ferguson will not oppose any summer moves for the Bulgarian as the Manchester United manager looks to gain more speed in his front line.

Newcastle United

11 of 21

Back at the beginning of March, Newcastle managing director Derek Llambias declared that the club may struggle to keep Cheik Tiote if a strong offer comes in for him in the summer.

Newcastle are flying high in the Premier League at present and have a real chance of Champions League qualification.

If they fail in that quest, Tiote may be packing his bags.

Norwich City

12 of 21

Russell Martin has been the subject of speculation linking him with a move to Newcastle United, but the player himself has declared that his head will not be turned by the rumours.

Norwich have a number of players linked with summer exits and are currently set nicely in mid-table.

Queens Park Rangers

13 of 21

Queens Park Rangers manager Mark Hughes could find himself searching for a new goalkeeper in the summer if Neil Warnock has his way.

The Leeds manager is thought to be targeting the Republic of Ireland international as his new No. 1 between the sticks.

Stoke City

14 of 21

After just 659 minutes of football in the Premier League this season—figure courtesy of the official Premier League website—it looks as though Cameron Jerome may already be set to depart the Potters after just one season with the club.

Sunderland

15 of 21

When a player has a fantastic season in the Premier League, the vultures begin to circle.

In this instance, it's Arsenal who are believed to be interested in Benin forward Stephane Sessegnon of Sunderland.

Sessegnon has been a huge hit under Martin O'Neil's influence, and the manager has stated that he would not like to lose him.

Swansea City

16 of 21

Swansea City's Scott Sinclair is another player whose contract is set to expire at the end of next season, with Carling Cup winners Liverpool leading the interest in his signature.

Sinclair has suggested he would prefer to stay at the Welsh club, but what players say and what players do are often very different things.

Tottenham Hotspur

17 of 21

The Metro has jump-started the Gareth Bale transfer gossip once again by declaring that Bale would find it hard to say no to Barcelona or Real Madrid if they were to come courting in the summer.

The Welsh winger has enjoyed a terrific season and may have his head turned should Spurs fail to make the Champions League for next season.

West Bromwich Albion

18 of 21

With the deal for German striker Lukas Podolski yet to be completed, Arsene Wenger may have turned his attention to West Brom striker Peter Odemwingie.

Setanta Sports has revealed that Odemwingie's manager Roy Hodgson would not stand in the player's way should an offer come in.

Wigan Athletic

19 of 21

Back in January, Wigan manager Roberto Martinez revealed that he could not rule out Hugo Rodallega leaving the club.

The Colombian forward is out of contract at the end of the season and could have his pick of destinations—assuming somebody wants him.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

20 of 21

Seemingly doomed Wolverhampton Wanderers may face losing a multitude of players in the summer window due to the likelihood of only being able to offer Championship football.

Hard-working forward Kevin Doyle seems to be the most likely to leave the club, with Southampton and Reading having been touted as possible destinations for the £4 million rated player.

Both prospective clubs are aiming to be in the Premier League next season, which may sway Doyle's decision.

Afterthoughts

21 of 21

We all know transfer gossip is at least 80 percent rubbish, but it's always interesting to hear who is being linked with who.

I can see around seven or eight of these deals happening in the summer, or at least the player in question leaving their current club for pastures new.

Gareth Bale has to be the standout player who is most likely to stay put. Spurs don't want to sell him, and not many teams can afford to shell out the £50 million-plus that's most likely required to even talk about a deal happening.
