Real's Lead Falls to Four

1 of 5

Real Madrid saw their lead atop La Liga's Primera Division cut to four points after a scoreless draw with Valencia on Sunday at the Bernabeu.

Ronaldo created an excellent chance in the opening 10 minutes, beating the keeper with a shot from outside the box that crashed off the upright.

Later, he had a penalty appeal turned down while racing in on the Valencia goal. Some onlookers called him out for a dive. See for yourself.

Real Rout APOEL

Real Madrid routed APOEL Nicosia 5-2 on Wednesday in the second leg of their Champions League quarterfinal tie.

Ronaldo scored twice in a match that might be remembered more for APOEL's Paulo Jorge pulling out a few of his own teeth following a collision with a teammate.

Ronaldo's second, a free kick from the edge of the box, qualified as a golazo. Watch it at left.
