Brock Lesnar: Why WWE Will Turn Him Heel in 2012

Max TowleApr 8, 2012

"The American Airlines Arena has come unglued!"

Oh boy, Monday night was magic.

Even Michael Cole's underwhelming commentary couldn't diminish the impact of a moment that will live long in the memory of every WWE fan—Lesnarholic or not.

Seeing his video hit the "Titantron" and the delirious crowd reaction was enough to unglue an arena.

Seeing a smug John Cena F-5'd out of the building was enough to make a grown man cry.

The WWE is back. Not that it ever left.

But Vince will surely find a way to ruin it, like he did with Chris Jericho.

Personally, it has been difficult to stomach seeing a legend like Y2J turned heel harder and faster than anyone in recent memory.

From his speechless first few appearances to the bizarre attacks on CM Punk's family, The Ayatollah of Rock 'n' Rolla has been quickly transformed into Chris Jerko.

And please don't mention that hideous sparkly jacket.

But don't worry just yet, Lesnar's inevitable turn probably wont start this Monday... or this month.

Vince has got to sell tickets for Extreme Rules first.

But rest assured, it will happen.

Let's not delude ourselves into thinking that the WWE knows how to deal with a guy like Brock.

Let's not forget how quickly he became a monster heel during his first run with the company.

Let's not forget how he beat the holy hell out of the one-legged Zack Gowen in 2003.

By around October, we will start to see the inevitable build to "Brock vs. Rock" at WrestleMania 29, a match that will be sold as a classic battle between good and evil.

Because if the main event of WrestleMania 28 taught us anything, its that Face vs. Face just doesn't work—something's got to give.

That's not to say that Vince isn't willing to be patient. The heel turn will most likely not start until after Summerslam.

Then again, it may start this Monday.

But if the recent lesson of one Daniel Bryan has taught us anything, its that this sell will be a hard one.

Some bad guys are worth rooting for.
