WWE Draft: 5 Predictions That Will Change Both Brands

It may be a formality, but the Raw/SmackDown Draft happens April 23.

I know you all have marked it on your calendars and are waiting with baited breath for the changes that are about to happen.

...NOT!

The upcoming draft means little if it doesn't do anything to change the course of events leading up to the New Year. And with all the "changes" in the super shows, I am not really counting on anything "huge" happening. The creative teams have already tipped their hats in how they want angles and title challenges to happen.

And here I was thinking the draft was something that was supposed to be a "secret." Guess I got fooled again.

In any event, here are some changes that could actually change the course of both brands and create some interesting choices to be made by wrestlers in Raw and SmackDown.

Cody Rhodes Coming to Raw

The former Intercontinental Champion is making a major move to Mondays.

While I am not a huge fan, I respect the fact that he is talented and spent 233 days with the strap around his waist.

He deserves better. And we "never" know if Chris Jericho is in it for the long haul, or he could jump from the ring and go back on the road with his rock band. And Jericho may be a good fit now—but he is not a long-term solution.

A CM Punk/Cody Rhodes feud would do wonders.

Either Jack Swagger or Dolph Ziggler Goes to SmackDown

I think Ziggler still has a championship run or several of them in him. And the Vicki Guerrero stable needs another member (Christian or Alberto Del Rio).

I think Jack Swagger is great as a complimentary player, but is not in the same league as Ziggler or the other younger wrestlers who can carry the company.

And somehow, I still think Drew McIntyre finds his way to "Vicki Land."

Aksana Moves to Raw

Maybe it means we see moves of her in he ring and maybe it means Teddy Long comes with her and develops a stable of his own.

Long becomes a manager and has Aksana, R-Truth and Kofi Kingston in his charges already, but then he can build (just like Vicki can) with a Zack Ryder, Big Show or maybe someone like The Miz who may have a face turn.

Alberto Del Rio Moves to SmackDown

This balances things a bit and allows Del Rio and Sheamus to make it happen.

Can this be a truly dynamic feud? Can The Big White remain champion or is it written in stone that Del Rio must have gold around his waist?

Actually, if ADR does not have a belt, then he is useless in this company.

His time will run out if he is not used that way.

Daniel Bryan Moves to Raw

CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan.

Right now, it becomes the Match of the Year and Feud of the Year.

Like Ric Flair and Rick Steamboat, it would be the best thing going today.

Both men know each other well and can sell for each other. They can also present a great dialogue and a storyline that can last like a Randy Orton/Christian angle.
