Real Madrid vs. Valencia: 3 Bold Predictions for the Whites

Real Madrid and Valencia are getting ready for a critical match that will shape the landscape of La Liga. 

The Whites will hold onto their lead over Barca by coming through with a huge victory today at the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu.

Here are three bold predictions for this match. 

Cristiano Ronaldo Will Score Three Goals 

Ronaldo is second in La Liga with 37 goals to this point in the season, trailing Lionel Messi by just one goal. 

He is the ultimate competitor. He wants to win, and I expect Ronaldo to continue his stellar showing by dominating the pitch in this matchup against Valencia.

It doesn't hurt that Valencia are coming off of a bad stretch the last couple of months. 

Three goals is a lofty target, to be sure, but I stand by my prediction: Ronaldo will score three goals.

Real Madrid Will Score Five Goals

Nobody expected the Whites to be able to dominate Osasuna. The prevailing wisdom was that the forwards would struggle at the point of attack. 

They didn't struggle at all, scoring five goals.

Look for the same type of game today from Real Madrid. Valencia will try and drop midfielders into the box to try and slow them down, but that only gives them more room to maneuver up top.

The Whites are going to have a field day.

Valencia isn't Going to Score a Single Goal

Valencia haven't been a high-scoring team all season long.

They will be busy trying to defend their own goal while Real Madrid presses the attack all game long. This will dictate a bloodbath for the Whites and a goose-egg for Valencia.

It's not going to be pretty...unless you're a fan of the Whites.
