Boston College vs. Ferris State: Parker Milner Will Lead Eagles to NCAA Title
Parker Milner has been an absolute monster in his past 17 starts, posting a 1.10 goals-against average and a .960 save percentage.
Coincidentally, the Boston College Eagles won every one of those games.
Milner will continue his impressive run in goal while leading his Eagles to the school's fifth NCAA Championship.
Boston College are the clear favorites to win the national championship and there is nobody denying why. They have won 18 straight games and Milner has been their biggest difference-maker. Head coach Jerry York realizes what he has done this year in net, according to David Albright of ESPN.
""He's improved an awful lot," BC coach Jerry York said. "And I don't think you can be a top-end team unless you've got a remarkable goaltender. I think that's so essential to being the type of club we'd like to be."
"
Milner was heavily scrutinized going into the season; he was thought of as a weak point. After seeing what he did this season, he is no longer the weak point—he is the difference-maker. Milner went 28-5 this year while posting ridiculous numbers.
""This season for me personally and for our team has been a work in progress. We started out well, but we weren't playing our best hockey and that showed when we hit a rut there," said Milner.
"
"I think what I do mirrors what the team does. Everyone wants to get better every day, and I don't want to be something that's holding back a really good team."
Ferris State will put forth its best effort against the Eagles; they have nothing to lose.
It won't be enough, however, because of Milner in net. He'll shut Ferris State down.
Prediction: Boston College 2, Ferris State 1
