WWE News: New Daniel Bryan 'Yes! Yes! Yes!' Shirt Released on WWEShop.com
As usual, it looks like WWE will get the last laugh.
WWEShop.com has released a brand new shirt for Daniel Byran. It is not just any ordinary design. The front says "Yes! Yes! Yes!" while the back has his name and a wrestling ring featured.
From beginning the chant months ago to the huge response at WrestleMania XXVIII, a new shirt has been born. Also, a new catchphrase (and star?) has been made as well.
My Thoughts on This News
On the surface, it may not need seem like big news. However, it certainly indicates a few things.
1. WWE will cash in here. While fans may think they are rebelling the company, they aren't. In reality, Vince McMahon is about to fill his wallet even more.
Of course, Daniel Bryan will likely be getting a nice chunk of change from sales. As expected, WWE did what they always do. They took a negative, turned it into a positive and will see the financial rewards.
2. It looks like the chants are here to stay. It has only been one week, but I believe (and hope) this ends the "What?" chants. They have been around way too long, and it needed to end few years.
Stone Cold is not returning. The attitude era is dead and buried, and all it does now is distract and disrupt a live program. I more than welcome fans incorporating "Yes!" into cheers at live shows.
3. I doubt this means a face turn for Bryan coming anytime soon. He and AJ have worked well together and doing yet another character change may be a disaster.
Especially on SmackDown, he would then be behind Sheamus, Randy Orton and Big Show. Him becoming a face may be fine down the line but certainly not now!
4. Finally, this can finally put to bed any issue over the World Title match at Mania. As I wrote about on March 24th, Sheamus should have defeated Bryan in less than a minute.
The match lasted 18 seconds and was the best thing to ever happen to Bryan's career. The crowd support shown for him on Monday was exceptional. Outside of one segment where Miami went too far, this was amazing for the former World Champion.
Now, he has a new shirt. He has a new catchphrase. He has more support from the decision makers and has a new lease on life. Anybody whining or crying about his title loss may need to think again.
Either this was all a blessing in disguise or Vince McMahon truly does have a method to his madness!
