Nike NFL Jerseys: Franchises That Made the Right Call in Turning Down Changes
Sometimes change is good and other times keeping it old-school—so to speak—turns out to be the better option.
Fortunately for us NFL fans, there were some franchises that retained the tradition of their old jerseys. According to Marian Hinton of Rant Sports, five teams deferred from any changes:
"The [Green Bay] Packers aren’t the only team to refuse any uniform changes. The Philadelphia Eagles, Oakland Raiders, and more surprisingly, the Carolina Panthers and Atlanta Falcons, also decided to stick with their old jerseys

That said: let's see who made the right call in turning down the changes.
Green Bay Packers, Right Call
No matter what company is making NFL jerseys, there is no reason to ever change the Packers' jerseys. For roughly 50 years the Packers have sported this design and it's just enveloped with pro football lore.
No changes necessary.
Atlanta Falcons, Wrong Call
The Falcons' red jerseys are good, but allowing some changes would have been better. Take for example, Atlanta's alternate black uniforms that go with the red helmets.
If Atlanta allowed that to become the standard home uniforms and then get a modernized spin from Nike, there's no telling how awesome the "Dirty Birds" would be rolling.
Oakland Raiders, Right Call
Ah, the Silver and Black. The Oakland Raiders are one of the few, if only team, that has the legit silver color to the helmets, pants and uniform numbers. No one can go wrong with the black jerseys reminding us of Marcus Allen's Super Bowl run against the Redskins.
Oakland's jerseys are just as legendary as Green Bay's, so this was a great call.
Philadelphia Eagles, Right Call
Although it would have been cool to see the Eagles slip back to their 1970s, '80s and '90s jerseys, the darker green works impressively well with the numbers and black outline.
This is a modern look that's not out of style or too futuristic, but has some connection with the old-school style.
Carolina Panthers, Right Call
The Carolina Panthers need not change anything, as their uniforms have been solid since day one. The black home jerseys are smooth and the Cats pull off the blue alternates quite well.
A franchise on the rise, watch out for those black and blue jerseys in 2012.
