Joe Vs Jen: Who Will Have The Best 2009 In The WWE, Joe's Pick Jeff Hardy

I recently asked a writer by the name of Jen Preston to do a writer vs. writer. I have seen some of her stuff and thought she was good, so I wanted her to get some attention in the wrestling section.

She wrote her's which I liked about Randy Orton. She feels he will have the best year. And good choice, but after what I saw on RAW, it may not be a great year for Orton.

But even though Jen's article was good, she picked Orton. And as I mentioned I don't think he will have the best year. I feel the "Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy will.

If you have seen SmackDown over the past three months you have seen some bizarre things happen to Jeff Hardy. The night before Survivor Series he was attacked at the doorstep of his Boston Hotel room.

Just a few weeks ago he along was run off the road in a hit-and-run attack. And last week a freak pyro incident happened to Hardy. All speculations lead to Edge and that he is only doing it to get "his" WWE Title back.

But of course with all the rumors of Christian Cage, he is of course behind it. But really we all know Edge is pulling the strings.

For now Jeff Hardy is the WWE Champion and at the Royal Rumble I feel he will lose his title. With that said, why will he have the best 2009? Well I feel Hardy will be in the feud of the year.

We all saw how well the HBK/Y2J feud did in 2008. And how did it do well? It got personal, after Jericho hit Michaels' wife it became a huge feud. Eventually leading to a ladder match.

I felt it was the best of the year and shot Jericho's career, leading him to two World Title reign's in 2008. The reason he did well was that he was younger and the WWE did not want another Michaels' reign.

So I feel Jeff Hardy and Christian Cage will both have a great year, but Hardy being the big winner in the end. Like I said Hardy will lose his WWE Title at the Rumble. And with that said the man behind all the attacks will be Cage.

Hardy will find this out and want to take out Cage. It is already personal. Cage is going after Hardy's life, not just his career. Why is he doing it? No one knows.

We all know the Hardy's Mantra " I will Not Die". It was first uttered by Matt Hardy, around the time he was feuding with Edge. So how coincidental is it that Jeff Hardy is feuding with Christian?

I mean you had two young stars in Edge and Matt Hardy go at it, and now you see the younger two brothers go at it. This time Christian wants to finish the job that Edge never could. Only taking out the other brother.

Hardy will not like this of course, and will take on Cage in any match. I do not feel we will see a TLC match at Wrestlemania. Maybe a Cage match or something similar.

It will boost both of their careers and Hardy will be WWE Champion again. He is still champ now, so he has a reign in 2009. I feel Hardy will have to take on Edge at some point, and maybe Matt will renew their old rivalry.

With that said Matt may cost Edge the WWE Title in a match he has with Jeff later in the year. Sort of how Christian will no to Jeff at the Rumble. Therefore he would win his second World Title.

This would mean two World Title reign's in 2009. The same Chris Jericho had, no matter how brief they were, they were still World Title reigns. And he became the WWE Superstar of the Year.

Hardy was nominated and was not even WWE champion yet. So he was already a favorite by management to even get a nomination. That would mean many in that category would have good 2009s.

I feel Hardy will lose the Title possibly to Christian. This will be a back and forth all year and since Hardy is the face, he will be the big winner. We all know it will lead to many things, but when World Titles come in that is when things get interesting. 

I know this seems that I am talking more about a rivalry rather than a certain superstar. But when you think about it this is the main reason superstars have good years.

Jeff Hardy is already a popular superstar, even after being WWE Champion he still gets more and more fans. I feel the back and forth between Cage and Hardy will be the reason Hardy gets attention and becomes the big winner.

Cage will be great coming back in the WWE, and I feel he will be big. As a returning WWE Superstar he will get attention too. So when you think about it, the attention both will get will make you have to consider both.

But since I feel the winner of the feud will be Hardy that he will have the best 2009. It may seems scattered I know, but after you see 2009 you'll understand.

Jen picked Randy Orton and he may have a Legacy going. But not so many rivalries. He had a brief one with Kane, but nothing big. And he was not even nominated for 2008 Superstar of the Year.

Despite having a pretty good year, so we all know who the WWE is behind here. It is clear it is Jeff Hardy. Despite Hardy having his three strikes your out rule applied by the WWE, he is liked by them.

Head SmackDown writer Michael Hayes has a good relationship with Jeff and Matt Hardy. So you know the writers are behind him too, so storylines are going to make him look good.

Orton still gets into altercations with fans, and is not too liked backstage. And is on RAW, which is built around John Cena. Even though Orton does get into the spotlight, it is not near the spotlight Cena gets.

Hardy is the guy there along with Edge. Triple H seems to be feuding with Vickie and is not likely to be a World Champion anytime soon.

So with all that said everything leads to Jeff Hardy having the best 2009. You may not be a fan of his or think he is the best wrestler. But when it comes down to all the facts there is no other choice in my mind.

Who will have the better 2009? Orton or Hardy?
