Kurt Warner Talks 2012 Draft, RGIII, Luck, Cam Newton and More
"Some guys like us slip through the cracks...but when we got here, we showed people we could do it," says Kurt Warner regarding undrafted free agents.
Warner should know. After graduating in from Northern Iowa in 1994, Warner trudged through the Arena Football League and NFL Europe before gaining the attention of St. Louis Rams execs in 1998.
And, of course, the rest became history. Warner, a two-time first team All-Pro during his career, led the Rams to a Super Bowl championship in 1999.
So when he speaks to the topic of being undrafted, his words carry great weight.
He says that most teams select or don't select players based on previous history and the combine, leaving some players out in the cold.
Warner's wisdom is also extended to the guys that will be chosen very early in the draft. So, what does Warner predict for Andrew Luck and RGIII's future? Watch the entire interview to get his take.
