WWE: 5 Questions to Be Answered After WrestleMania 28

David LevinApr 4, 2012

We are still waiting to see what happens in the aftermath of WrestleMania 28. While some questions and feuds have begun, there are still situations that need clarification.

What happens with newcomers? Former champions? The future of The Rock? What happens when John Cena cannot beat the awesome power of Brock Lesnar?

And what happens with HHH and The Undertaker? Who stays and who leaves?

While not all questions can be answered right now, mainly because it is not Friday night yet, here are some situations we all can consider.

What Happens Now to Cody Rhodes?

1 of 5

He was the Intercontinental Champion for 233 days, and then it was all over once Big Show took him to task.

What happens to him now?

I thought this would be a great angle for him (much like Dolph Ziggler) to drop the second-rate title and make a run at gold.

Now it looks like Alberto Del Rio is going to be in an angle with new World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus. That makes sense only if there are not any other viable candidates. Rhodes was arguably the hottest wrestler in the company the past few months.

The creative team is taking another wrong road with this one.

The Rock and CM Punk at WrestleMania 29?

2 of 5

Wouldn't that be a hoot?

In Punk's shoot back when he shook the wrestling world last year, he said John Cena was the second-biggest suck up in the company, next to "Dwayne."

Well oddly enough, "Dwayne" made a statement to the WWE fans Monday night that eventually, he would like to be in a situation where he has the WWE title back around his waist.

Hmm. Interesting.

The two would blow New Jersey off the map and make WrestleMania 29 as big as this year's event. And, in my opinion, it would be a better match than the one with John Cena.

Is Daniel Bryan Going to Be Buried Now That He Lost the World Title?

3 of 5

Let's hope not. But let's also hope that Sheamus does not feel backlash from winning the title in 18 seconds.

Bryan is a great heel and has really been a better wrestler in the last six months. He also has shown he can put on a tremendous match, especially with CM Punk.

Could that be a card in the future? I sure hope so. But having Bryan toil right now is not good for his character. Maybe something happens in the next few weeks when the draft is held.

You have to think he comes to Raw and challenges his old rival.

Who Is This Lord Tensai Character?

4 of 5

Matt Bloom, AKA "Albert," AKA "Lord Tensai," has made his way to the WWE.

Do we care?

His first match was unimpressive. If he had come in during WM 28, then it would have been more dramatic and more "real." Had he come in and beat on CM Punk after he won the match against Chris Jericho or had torn up John Cena on the ramp, then you would have had more interest.

This could be one of those characters that comes in fast and leaves just as fast.

Will There Eventually Be a Feud Between Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger?

5 of 5

I can hope, can't I?

When both of Vickie's "bidders" were challenging Santino Marella, I thought they might go to blows.

While they roughed each other up, allowing Marella to retain the title, it never went farther than that.

But it could and should have. Something needed to go "wrong" on Monday night. That would have been the perfect storm in John Laurinaitis' first night as general manager of both brands.
