WrestleMania 28: Brock Lesnar and Stars WWE Needed to Feature to Improve PPV

Brian MaziqueJun 4, 2018

On a scale of 1-10, I'd rate WrestleMania 28 a 6.5.

That may sound harsh, but beyond the icon charged Hell in a Cell match, and The Rock's spanking of John Cena, nothing too memorable came out of the event.

The following night on Raw, the WWE gave us some of what we should have seen at the $64.95 pay-per-view event.

We Should Have Felt Brock Lesnar's Presence

Did he need to F5 someone at Sun Life Stadium?

No, but the first octave of "The Next Big Thing" would have put the whole crowd in a frenzy. From a TV viewer's standpoint, the music could have drawn a reaction from Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler that added more intrigue, before fading to the WWE logo.

It would have created a huge buzz for Raw, and better utilized the big re-signing.

He could have come out and done the same thing to Cena on Raw, and the only change would have been a few notes on the PA system at WrestleMania.

We Should Have Seen Brodus Clay...Actually Wrestling

That debacle of an appearance from Clay, his mother and the Bridge Club was pretty sad. It was even more bewildering when I saw him launched into a feud with Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger on Raw the next night.

It would have been a better use of the talent to place Clay in the Team Teddy vs. Team Johnny match. Especially since the WWE would involve him in a mini-program with participants from that match.

Clay has a chance to be a star, but he could have received a better push off at WrestleMania.

Lord Tensai Meets CM Punk

The WWE seems to have big plans for Lord Tensai, and that is understandable. Even as Albert, I always thought he was a solid in-ring performer.

If rumors are that he will be entering a feud with CM Punk are true, why not have him peruse around the outside of the ring, with his assistant after Punk defeated Chris Jericho.

It would have been smart to have him keep his mask on, and have the crowd see that menacing sight, while Punk stared at him before Tensai left the scene.

It's obvious Jericho had served his purpose.

If Tensai is next for Punk, the WWE could have created more intrigue about Tensai's in-ring debut on Raw with this subtle appearance.
