Seahawks Nike Jerseys: Seattle's Bold Design a Brilliant Promotional Tactic
The Seattle Seahawks shocked the NFL world on Tuesday when they unveiled their new-look Nike uniforms. While it was a polarizing look, to say the least, it does make them far more interesting now than they were before.
Unlike most of the new uniforms, which are just standard designs, the Seahawks took their inspiration from the city they play in and the fans that get rowdy to support them every time they take the field.

"The Seahawks received a revised helmet logo, color and design schemes. Other changes included 12 feathers down the side of the pants, a nod to this area’s American Indian heritage and the 12th Man.
The Seahawks also debuted an alternate gray uniform.
The radical change for the Seahawks makes sense, with geographical neighbor Nike just a couple of hours away in Beaverton, Ore.
Nike chairman Phil Knight, a University of Oregon product, already made the Ducks his private laboratory for uniform development. So it’s only natural that his Pacific Northwest neighbor, the Seahawks, take on a similar role in the NFL.
"
Everyone in the NFL is scared to try something new. All that we ever see are simple, bold designs with only the numbers being changed.
Think about what this means for the Seahawks and the NFL.
Before, no one would give this franchise a second thought. Sure, they were beloved in their corner of the world, but beyond that, they were an afterthought.
Now, all that anyone wants to talk about right now is the Seahawks' new uniforms. Even though some feedback may be negative, that will go away eventually, and people will learn to love what the franchise is doing.
Like the Oregon Ducks, who seem to debut a new look every single week, the venom fades away, and then people realize that the uniforms are a statement of character.
The Seahawks certainly appear to have more character than anyone else in the NFL right now.
