EPL: Theo Walcott Says Arsenal Have Everything They Need to Win Trophies

Arsenal were awful to start the season. Having seen their squad decimated by the departures of Samir Nasri and Cesc Fabregas, the Gunners opened the season with four losses in their first seven matches.

But from that low, Arsene Wenger's team have risen magnificently and now sit third place in the Premier League table.

Winger Theo Walcott believes that the side now have exactly what they need to end the silverware drought that has settled over the club since they won the 2005 FA Cup on penalties. (From Arsenal.com):

"We have got everything. People are coming out of their shells, playing at the top of their games and staying fit.

I am as frustrated as the fans that we can't do it throughout the season. Every team has their bad period, we have been up and down at stages; we weren't playing particularly badly, we just weren't getting results and it is all about results.

We have real character in the squad, a lot of leaders and captains, and that helps us."

When asked about the pressure on his side as they face the four-way battle with Tottenham, Newcastle and Chelsea over the last two Champions League places, Walcott cited the early season struggles as instructive.

"I think that we can deal with pressure when it is thrown upon our shoulders. The manager always takes it on his back, but as players we can cope with that now because we had that tough period."

Arsenal's Saturday loss to QPR snapped the Gunners seven-game win streak. Tottenham took advantage of the slip, drawing even with Walcott's team on points by beating Swansea on Sunday. Meanwhile, Newcastle and Chelsea are five points back.

Arsenal currently occupy third position on the strength of a one-goal advantage in the goal differential column.
