Brock Lesnar Returns: Legends Will Make 2012 Unforgettable

Gabe ZaldivarJun 2, 2018

Just when we thought the WWE had run out of ideas and big names willing to come back for a boost in excitement, Brock Lesnar has returned to the fold. Get ready for an unforgettable 12 months.

If you are scoring at home, we have gone to being inflated with hope at The Rock's return last year to being frustrated with the stale persona of John Cena, and now we have a boost of optimism with Brock Lesnar's return.

There is a ton going on, and like a weekend bender, the fun is but one sip from nauseous returns. So we hope that the WWE has this one right, and there is every reason to think they do.

NoDQ.com reports more details on Lesnar's return and what to expect in the coming year.

"

Multiple sources report that Brock Lesnar has signed a one-year deal with WWE that will see him work through WrestleMania 29 in New Jersey next year.

Lesnar has signed on for a minimum of two appearances per month over the next year plus additional appearances during the build to WrestleMania 29...As seen on RAW, The Rock teased a run with the WWE Title. Speculation is that Lesnar will eventually challenge The Rock for the WWE Title at WrestleMania 29.

"

That leaves John Cena as the little kid at the table picking off the scraps for the next year, and how sweet that will be.

Let me state that I am far from a Cena hater, but his image was growing from tired to forgettable rather quickly. Now we have another year of him transforming into something that will be, fingers crossed, more palatable.

The crowd at Monday's RAW was electric, and it made you crave that every Monday night would feature that kind of vibe throughout the stands.

It was a signal that the past year actually worked rather well for jaded fans that started to leave this great place.

When you have a WrestleMania like we just had, there is a certain amount of expectation that WWE will build on it.

That is exactly what should happen with a star like Lesnar coming in to take on Cena for a few months before a grand buildup with a legendary WrestleMania with The Rock goes down.

Cena will not get lost in the mix. Rather, he will begin to move toward whatever incarnation that is in store for us.

After this year, we will finally have a Cena that can take over. That's the hope anyway.
