WrestleMania 28 Results: Quick Daniel Bryan KO Was Total Rip-off for Fans

Timothy RappApr 3, 2012

Here are a few worthwhile things you can do in 20 seconds or less:

Chug a beer. Run the 100-meter dash. Watch Olympic sprinters run the 200-yard dash. Trot around the bases after hitting a home run. Read this paragraph. Watch anything involving the Kardashians before developing a migraine.

Okay, so that last one wasn't worthwhile.

What you won't find on that list is: watch Daniel Bryan lose his World Heavyweight Championship to Sheamus after turning his head to kiss AJ just to turn back to a boot in the face.

You can save all of your talk about new storylines. People pay good money to order WrestleMania, and having a match that a lot of people were really looking forward to was a sham of the highest order.

For all of the drama, the stories and the character-building, WWE is still about actual wrestling—or at least it should be.

I've heard other rumors about how the WWE wanted to set a shortest-match record, or that Bryan was actually hurt.

If the first one is true, it is one of the lamest freaking things I've ever heard. Set that record on your own dime, WWE, not on the dime of the people who paid a lot of money for the pay-per-view.

The second one I can live with, though if he was actually hurt they could have found a different way to open the show and to keep him out of the ring or set up a controversial disqualification in some other manner.

All in all, the way this was handled was just plain old dumb. I want my 20 seconds back—there are plenty of other worthwhile things I could have done with them.
