WrestleMania 2012: John Cena and Defeated Foes Set to Make a Comeback

Jesse ReedApr 2, 2012

There is no way that John Cena is done dominating the ring.

In a stunning performance to cap off WrestleMania 28, The Rock defeated Cena in an epic marathon that lasted well over 30 minutes.

Cena controlled most of the match. He had The Rock completely gassed out with the STF, and if not for a last-second burst of adrenaline by The Rock to wake himself up from his stupor, Cena would have won the match.

In the end, The Rock got his victory, but Cena will rise again to reclaim his status as a winner soon enough.

In total, WWE's biggest night of the year gave us three losers that are set up for a comeback sometime in the near future. Here are the other two defeated foes that are set up for triumphant returns.

Daniel Bryan

It's fitting that Bryan lost the World Heavyweight Title in the same twisted manner that he won it in the first place.

Remember, Bryan won the belt after a timely decision to use his briefcase after The Big Show was attacked by Mark Henry while celebrating his victory at TLC in December. Bryan pinned The Big Show while he was stunned from the attack, stealing the title in the process.

So, it wasn't surprising to WWE vets when something similar happened to Bryan in response.

Still, this sets Bryan up for a highly anticipated comeback after being cold-cocked by Sheamus' Brogue Kick.

Triple H

There is no way that Triple H is finished. He is too resilient and beloved to simply vanish.

It might be a while before he can get back in the ring, though. The Undertaker put the screws to him in a painful fight for both wrestlers.

People have been asking about whether or not Triple H would come back for years. He always does, and I don't see any reason why he won't get another chance to be a winner on the WWE platform once again.
