WrestleMania 29: 8 Superstars Who Can Headline Next Year's WrestleMania
Now that we have seen WrestleMania and the aftershow Monday night, there is a sense things will heat up over the summer months and head into the fall and winter.
Before long, we will all be taking about WrestleMania 29. Funny how time flies when you are waiting for one of the premier PPV events in the country.
With the advent of the dawning of WM 29 (it sounds weird talking about it now), we can only hope the matches are as explosive as the ones seen this year.
Then the idea of who will headline comes to mind. Here are a few we all could consider.
John Cena
1 of 8Don't count him out for next year.
While it will not be a year-long build up, the thought of Cena wrestling Lesnar or CM Punk or even The Rock again will bring millions (and I mean millions) to their feet.
CM Punk
2 of 8Could you imagine a CM Punk/Rock matchup for the WWE Title?
All of New Jersey and the surrounding area would erupt in cheers.
Now we can see if Punk accuses "Dwayne" of being a suck-up again!
Brock Lesnar
3 of 8For now, he will be the most talked-about wrestler in the WWE.
Let's all hope he makes more of a splash and remains a top draw like he used to be.
Also, let's hope he has more of an impact on the company than when Kane or Chris Jericho returned to Raw.
Lesnar and Cena could be magic.
The Rock
4 of 8He told the people of Miami last night that in time, he wants to hold WWE gold again.
If that is to happen, then he has to go through CM Punk.
The confrontation would be bigger than Rock/Cena this year.
The Miz
5 of 8If it is done properly, Miz is either going to become an even bigger heel or get pissed and turn face soon.
Miz as a face has some appeal with matches he could be in (Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett, Alberto Del Rio).
The Miz has too much talent to remain at this level for too long.
Sheamus
6 of 8Just how long will he hold the World Title and how long will it be before Alberto Del Rio is clawing at him?
I don't personally like the potential for this feud since Cody Rhodes seems more like a viable option.
But creative "knows" what they are doing.
Cody Rhodes
7 of 8I am actually rooting for him as a heel.
No one is better in the game right now, and the loss to Big Show should only have catapulted him toward the World Title.
It did not happen yet.
If Rhodes has to wait in line again behind someone like ADR and Wade Barrett (Barrett deserves a shot as well) for the World Title, management is not doing its job.
Wade Barrett
8 of 8When he gets back to wrestling, he must pick up where he left off.
Barrett is one of the best in the business right now.
And since his injury, the only thing different is that Sheamus holds the World Title.
Seeing Sheamus and Barrett feud would be good for the company as well.
