Why Tim Tebow's Lack of Confidence Should Alarm NY Jets
Tim Tebow lacking confidence? Impossible.
However, it can be interpreted as such and the New York Jets need to be alarmed.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
According to Mike Florio of NBC Sports, stating in an interview with ESPN 1050:
"Tebow says that he’s “not sure” he’ll be a starter. Ever.
That’s what he told ESPN 1050 on Friday, along with more of his usual non-controversial stuff. “I don’t know what the future holds, but I know who holds my future,” Tebow said.
"
This is an interesting twist of events, because prior to that Tebow displayed confidence earlier in March. In an article by Gary Myers of the New York Daily News, Tebow appeared confident coming in:
"“They want me to come in and compete and get better as a quarterback and help the team any way possible,” Tebow said. “Whatever that role is, I will do my best. Every time I step on the field, I give my heart and soul.”
"
So, perhaps being in the NFL's biggest market has put a little added pressure on the polarizing quarterback. If that is the case, the Jets need to be concerned because it only increases the expectations to win.
And with inner-city and inter-conference rival the New York Giants having won two Vince Lombardi Trophies behind Eli Manning, playing quarterback for the Jets has an unprecedented level of pressure.
Lest we forget, Gang Green also plays in a now-tougher AFC East with the Buffalo Bills having made upgrades this offseason. In addition, the New England Patriots still have Tom Brady and remain the standard in the AFC.
In Denver, Tebow didn't have nearly as much to worry about, especially with positional competition. Broncos fans loved him and other AFC West quarterbacks like Carson Palmer and the multiple that were under center for Kansas City didn't match up in terms of popularity.
Philip Rivers in San Diego was also on a down year with a slow start, so Tebow was basically "the man" in the division. Had he remained with the Broncos, Tebow wouldn't be feeling the immediate pressure like in New York.
Now, this obviously cannot be too concerning since what Tebow does on the field for the Jets remains to be seen. After all, that's where he will be fairly judged and for his sake, let's hope the supposed lack of confidence is just butterflies of anxiousness to get the pads on.
So above all else, let's not get exaggerated with concern about Tebow possibly lacking confidence, but do keep it on the radar.
