Nike NFL Uniforms: Teams that Need a Complete Overhaul

Some NFL uniforms are absolutely hideous, and Nike could save us fans from the horror with an complete overhaul.

While we wait with bated breath to finally see the new NFL uniforms, Nike will be unveiling I wanted to take the time to point out three teams that could use a drastic change.

Miami Dolphins

Simplicity is elegant when you're talking about a cocktail dress, but an NFL uniform deserves something more than just a single color dominating the scheme.

The Dolphins' old uniforms were boring. 

Basically, you have either a white, teal or orange jersey to choose from. 

They need to incorporate all those colors into one jersey. 

I have hope that they will do just that. If you check out this picture of the prototype gloves Brandon Marshall wore to the 2012 Pro Bowl, you'll notice that they seem to be heading in this general direction.

Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons' old uniforms are about as exciting as bird poop.

They are far too conservative, and I'd be willing to bet the Falcons would sell a lot more of them if they were infused with a bit of personality.

As it stands, you can buy either a plain white, black or red jersey with little trim to break up the monotony.

Let's hope Nike spices it up a bit with their new uniforms. 

Detroit Lions

I know that the Lions are one of the more traditional franchises in the NFL, living up in the NFC North and all, but their uniforms could use a serious overhaul.

What they have now is so boring. 

Honolulu Blue and Gun-metal Grey dominate the day, and something must be done to give the new uniforms some pizazz. 

Granted, their alternate uniforms are pretty cool, but the everyday uniforms have got to go.

It is going to be fun to see what Nike and these franchises have come up with when they unveil all the new uniforms on April 3.
