Brock Lesnar Update: Latest Buzz on Pending WWE Return

Andrew KulhaJun 6, 2018

If you believe the rumors, former WWE star and UFC fighter Brock Lesnar will be at WrestleMania 28, and he may or may not be planning an epic return.

There's only one question fans of the WWE should have right now, and it's not about smelling what the Rock is cooking.

There have been multiple reports circling the web that stated Lesnar was in Miami and that he was in potential talks about a new contract with the WWE.

Of course, due to hype of WrestleMania 28 and the mystery that surrounds the storylines, that sparked discussion about a potential role Lesnar would play in the biggest WWE event of the year.

The rumors swirled and the speculation grew, and here we are less than an hour away...

The question still remains: What in the world is going on?

The Latest

Here's a full scoop on the latest regarding Lesnar from Dave Scherer of pwinsider.com:

"

What we have confirmed is this:

  • The sides were talking all throughout the week about coming to terms.
  • We have heard from many people that Brock has no desire to work a full-time schedule.  If he returns it will be on a limited dates schedule.  From what I have heard, that is not an issue for WWE.  They are fine with it so that will not hang up a deal.
  • Numerous people have told us that WWE wants to announce at least one main event for WrestleMania 29 at tonight's show, just as they did last year with The Rock vs. John Cena.  Obviously, with a limited schedule a Lesnar match against say, Cena or The Rock, would fall in line very well with that.
  • Also, The UFC's Dana White wrote on his Twitter account that if Lesnar wanted to return to wrestling, " He is able to do it."  So, the UFC end of the equation has been cleared up.

My Take

There has to be something huge brewing.

Lesnar is indeed interested in a return. Apparently, the WWE was just as interested, and something crazy and epic has to happen on this grand stage.

This is my speculation, mind you, but I have a feeling that he is coming back.

Lesnar is one of the biggest names in the sport, and he got even bigger because of the growing popularity of the UFC. Not only would this be a huge move for his career, but it would also be a great publicity stunt for the WWE.

We haven't even seen WrestleMania yet, and we're already thinking about what's to come after.

The stars are lining up for an epic return, and the reports of interest are indeed true. Now, all we have to do is wait and see how this unfolds.

Either way, knowing the WWE, they've got something up their sleeves.
