Nike NFL Jerseys: Attaining Licensing Rights Will Prove to Be a Shrewd Move
Nike is going to reinforce its dominance in the sporting apparel world with its takeover as the makers of NFL jerseys.
Next season, NFL players will be wearing jerseys made by Nike. This comes after 10 years of Reebok unis.
Nike will ensure it gets the most out of this deal. In fact, it already has.

The Oregonian's Allen Brettman tells us that Nike has already dramatically boosted its sales.
"One of the best demand indicators is Nike orders for delivery from March through July. The orders are 22 percent higher in North America this year than during the same period a year ago.
Analysts expect Nike in its first year to sell more than Reebok did across any of its 10 seasons.
"
The reason for this increased sales numbers is simple: Nike is the king of hype. It knows how to create buzz around a product and it knows how to market it.
Its reputation alone helps create demand and value. And the hype is going to turn jerseys into not just the attire of fans at a game, but a fashion centerpiece for people.
This is going to cause a huge bump in jersey sales, and is surely a big reason why analysts expect Nike's sales to trump Reebok's.
Brettman also shed some insight on the growing buzz:
"Jersey sales dropped last season "because so many people knew that this change was happening," Dick's Chief Executive Ed Stack told analysts March 8.
"
This is going to be a gold mine for Nike, and it should help its sales across the board as its product will be even more in the public forefront than it was before.
