WWE News: Dana White Comments on Brock Lesnar-WrestleMania Rumors

Justin WatryApr 1, 2012

The entire WWE Universe is still buzzing over the news about Brock Lesnar possibly returning to the squared circle. It may even be tonight at WrestleMania in Miami.

Well, now Dana White has a few words.

When asked about Lesnar, he replied on his official Twitter account:

Honestly, it was only a matter of time. The sports world saw Brock Lesnar get destroyed last year in the UFC. His "fighting" days were over. Everybody knew it.

The UFC President (Dana White) knew it. The fans knew it. More importantly, Brock knew it.

When you add up his not-so-recent partnership with Paul Heyman and his deal to appear in WWE's video game last year, you knew something was being set for this future.

None of his return is shocking.

However, the timing of all this may be.

WWE and Brock may have been talking for awhile now, but this entire situation became public really quick. Before you knew it, there was a report that he signed a one-year deal to return.

It would certainly not be full-time. Again, anybody thinking this is a 100 percent road schedule (house shows, media, PPV events) is just kidding themselves.

Even with that, at least now we know the UFC is no longer a road block. Many had questioned how his previous employer (and contract status) was effecting a potential WWE deal.

Now we know. Brock is free to do as he sees fit.

As for the burning question as to whether he appears tonight at WrestleMania?

I was leaning towards "yes" yesterday, but you just never know. He certainly has a few opponents waiting for him in Triple H, Undertaker, John Cena or even The Rock.

That is why the old saying goes, "you have to pay to play."

Tonight, I will certainly be paying to see the biggest event of the year. I suggest everybody else to do the same because you just may see the former WWE Champion once again.
