WrestleMania 28 Spoilers: Dream Opponents If Brock Lesnar Returns

Donald WoodApr 1, 2012

With WrestleMania 28 just a few hours away, the idea that Brock Lesnar may be returning to WWE to spoil the show is something diehard fans couldn’t love more.

WrestleZone is reporting about the possible return of the pain to a WWE show near you:

"

According to F4WOnline.com, former WWE and UFC star Brock Lesnar has arrived in Miami, the site of WrestleMania 28 tomorrow night. As we have been reporting, Lesnar has been negotiating with WWE about a possible appearance at the event, and while his arrival in Miami does not guarantee that, it makes it a very strong possibility as it's likely he wouldn't be in Miami if the two sides could not reach an agreement.

As great as the return of a bona fide international superstar like Brock Lesnar is for the WWE, it is the possible matchups that it breeds that will make his run in WWE very successful.

Undertaker

The easiest answer about who Lesnar would fight if he did return would be Undertaker. With previous dustups in and out of the ring, their feud almost writes itself.

While having Lesnar attack Undertaker after his match is anti-climatic, the idea that the former UFC champion shows up at WrestleMania is one of those epic memories that could live on forever.

The perfect idea would be to have Undertaker beat Triple H and begin the slow walk up the ramp as the winner. With Undertaker looking back towards the cell, have Lesnar’s classic music hit and have him stand at the entrance way. What happens next will be a year of build for WrestleMania 29’s main event.

While CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho has been excellent, the idea of a brute-like Lesnar fighting with a man of Punk’s size is not always a good one. That is unless both are trained in a similar fashion.

Despite the obvious size difference, Punk and Lesnar’s styles of working a match are very similar. While Lesnar does far more power moves, it was his time in Japan that will make this match a technical wonder.

Punk mentioned Lesnar’s name in his now-legendary shoot promo before Money in the Bank, so building a storyline around the duo wouldn’t be that difficult. It’s so easy, even a WWE writer could do it.

Triple H

No man has the power to get himself involved in something of this magnitude like Triple H, and if he wants it, it will be his.

While I think this is the least interesting of all the options listed, this is a far better choice than having Shawn Michaels return again and fight Triple H. At least Lesnar vs. Triple H would be fun and new.

Both men thrive on the power moves, so this could be a match that drags in the middle. While I don’t want to see this match at all, it’s unfortunately one of the most likely scenarios.
