WWE WrestleMania 28: Will the Company Panic and Change "Predictable" Results?

Giulio RomanoJun 7, 2018

Tic Toc Tic Toc Tic Toc Tic Toc—do you hear that?

Every second brings us closer to the grandest pay per view extravaganza in WWE history. With its set of high-profile matches and glamorous exposure, WrestleMania 28 promises to deliver four hours of non-stop action and jaw-dropping moments.

As preparation for the big event, the company offers fans a Tag Team championship match pitting current holders, Primo and Epico (w/ Rrrrosa Mendes) against the Usos and the newly-formed unit of Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel.

This should be an interesting match featuring young, up and coming superstars of the frail tag team division, who depend on their excellent performance in order to rise out of the mess it's in. There is no reason why the titles should change here. The champions are just fine as they are.

What about the top four matches of the card? Are they so predictable that fans only have to watch how it all unfolds or do company officials have something up their sleeves?

Here is the rundown of the main events:

WWE championship: CM Punk (c) vs. Chris Jericho

World Heavyweight championship: Daniel Bryan (c) vs. Sheamus

Hell in a Cell, End of an Era: The Undertaker vs. Triple H III

Once in a Lifetime: The Rock vs. John Cena

This is indeed a very spectacular set of matches. All with huge names and top superstars. However, there can only be one real winner in each.

With the advent of internet and leaks, it is hard to keep mum on what the company decides. It sends officials in a panic and the entire card's outcome can change with but a wave of the McMahon hand.

An example of that would be last Night of Champions in Buffalo. Beth Phoenix should have won the Divas title but it came across as too predictable and so, the decision was changed. Kelly Kelly retained, much to the dislike of the crowd and this writer in particular.

Some predictable outcomes for tomorrow would be as follows: Jericho wins the belt, Sheamus wins the belt, Taker goes 20-0 and Cena beats Rock.

Y2J doesn't do anything for nothing and they must have negotiated something good to have him back -- winning the title at Mania is something better than good. Judging from articles like this one, and from fan fare all over the place, CM Punk loses tomorrow.

Knowing all this, will officials change everything and have CM Punk enter Chicago still WWE Champion? Let's hope not. There are already stories planned for the next few months, why change everything because people are smart and can figure things out on their own.

Nobody would complain if either Jericho or Punk wins tomorrow, both are beloved by the fans.

Ending The Streak, that's another story. This may appear as something in danger, but let's get real. NO ONE WILL DEFEAT UNDERTAKER AT WRESTLEMANIA. Imagining anything else is pure folly.

Panicking is a waste of time. Take the ball and roll with it, plain and simple. If people are smart enough to figure things out then maybe you have to get a little smarter. Nobody can stop leaks from appearing and who is to say the company itself didn't let out some secrets to throw people off?

Instead of all this worrying and arguing, how about waiting patiently for this show to come and when that happens, everyone tries to have the time of their lives.

It will make headlines, break records and get people all fired up -- that's a prediction you can take to the bank.

No need to panic.
