WrestleMania 28 Predictions: Big Show Won't Land Overdue Moment vs. Cody Rhodes
Cody Rhodes will continue Big Show's embarrassing WrestleMania streak when he defeats him to retain the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Show has always been a loyal WWE performer ever since he made his debut at St. Valentine’s Day Massacre in 1999. He’s been a team player throughout his career, enjoying great success, but also humiliating lows that consist of being sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling to get in shape and losing to non-wrestlers at WrestleMania.
If there was ever a man that deserved to have a crowning WrestleMania moment, it would be Big Show.

Still, it is Show’s very loyalty that will cost him his ‘Mania moment again. Big Show understands the industry and knows that putting somebody over is better for the industry.
Rhodes is developing into one of WWE’s better heel performers. Though this feud came out of nowhere, it has been booked extremely well to ensure Rhodes looks strong, cunning and witty. His frequent video packages bashing Big Show have been phenomenal.
At this point, we want to see Show demolish Rhodes, which is exactly why this feud has been a success.
Yet WWE can accomplish everything they need without Show actually winning the match. Show merely needs to look dominant while Rhodes just needs to sneak a victory to retain the Intercontinental Championship.
In essence, a Show loss is a win-win for everybody involved. Show would still look strong, as he should against somebody of Rhodes’ stature, and Rhodes would look strong by playing the heel role to perfection.
More importantly, this feud has only scratched the surface of its potential. We could see these two men continue their rivalry into Extreme Rules, where Show could finally get his overdue victory.
Big Show is on the last legs of his career. He spent time last year putting over Mark Henry and Daniel Bryan because he knows his legacy is cemented in the wrestling industry. He will forever be regarded as one of the very best giants to ever bless the industry.
He knows he can help the future by putting over Rhodes at WrestleMania 28 and forfeiting his ‘Mania moment once again.
