Wrestlemania 28: 3 Stars Who Will Break out at This Year's Event
While they aren't in the highest profile matches this year, every one of these stars is going to bring a great performance to WrestleMania XXVIII. When they do, their presence on the big stage will be official and at this time next year, we'll be talking about them in far more prominent ways.
He's already done a fantastic job developing the rivalry with The Big Show, playing a perfect heel to the affable face.

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
Rhodes is just one of the better stars on the WWE roster right now. He is fundamentally sound in the ring, and also generates a consistent amount of heat, which is important. What makes this match work for Rhodes is that the result is not important.
If he loses, then the Intercontinental Championship is off of him and he's free to pursue the WWE Title. If Rhodes wins, then he gets the bragging rights of beating an established star, and man much bigger than he is, on the biggest stage of them all. Either one works and no matter what happens, it will not be long before Rhodes is a permanent fixture in the main events.
Dolph Ziggler
There isn't a more complete superstar on the roster right now, at least not on the heel end of things. Ziggler is great in the ring and on the mic. For the sake of freshness, and just rewarding when one of the better workers around, Ziggler had better be featured far more prominently at WrestleMania next year.
While there are certainly other capable wrestlers on Team Johnny, it would make sense for Ziggler to get the overwhelming amount of the in-ring time.
If he's in the ring, Ziggler won't disappoint. With a strong showing at WrestleMania, there is no need for the WWE to do anything but push Ziggler to the moon as soon as possible.
Santino Marella
Yeah, I said it. We know about the comedic element that Santino brings to the table, and that's always going to be there. But what we haven't seen, until fairly recently, is that Marella can get the job done in the ring, and that's going to show.
It's hard to imagine him not getting a good amount of the in-ring time, given the popularity that he has with the fans. Santino being in the ring will generate more fan interest than anyone on the team. While in there, Marella will put forth a good effort, establishing himself as a legit in-ring talent.
Given how he already is on the microphone, a good performance from Santino would easily vault him to even greater prominence.
