Wrestlemania 28: 10 Surprises We Could See During the Big Event

With WrestleMania 28 just a few days away, everyone has an opinion on what could possibly happen.

Like I have said time and time again, the WWE loves to throw everyone curveballs, and whether they want to admit or not, some of them DO read what is said on Internet sites like these and will go totally in the opposite direction just to outsmart us all.

I may be crazy for saying this, but I miss the days where you watch a major pay-per-view or Monday night show and be totally taken by surprise by a wrestler turning heel, a major title change, a new wrestler suddenly appearing on a show or upset victories no one saw coming.

I don't claim to be an expert—just a fan. To go with an old 1990s saying, anything can happen in the WWE!

Here are 10 surprises that I think could happen on the grandest stage of them all:

A Surprise Replacement in the Divas Match

If Maria Menounos can't go for the Divas match, look for her surprise replacement to be...Trish Stratus! Beth and Eve will berate Kelly and say you can pick any partner you want and it still won't matter. Cue Trish's music and see the look on their faces!

A Little Sibling Rivalry

Dustin Rhodes will appear during the Cody Rhodes/Big Show match. He will distract his brother, causing Show to do the knockout punch and pin, although Rhodes will have the upper hand most of the match. They will have a confrontation in which Cody will get the last laugh.

What Will the Miz Do?

Miz will either get the win for Team Lauriniatis or cost the team the match, digging himself deeper in WWE circles. Laurinaitis fires him right there and then, setting himself up for a return as part of a bigger picture.

Orton Gets Help

Zack Ryder appears and costs Kane the match against Randy Orton, hitting him on the back of the head with a metal object. Kane retaliates and injures Ryder yet again, knocking him off Team Long. Desperately needing a replacement, Long gets…

Rey Mysterio

Rey Mysterio! Everyone thought he wasn’t going to wrestle at Mania, but to everyone’s surprise, he shows up and is a key figure for the team. 

A Boss Sighting

Vince McMahon will make an appearance at some point, but it's not certain what his role will be. 

Return of the Aristocrat

If Mysterio does show up, then so will Alberto Del Rio, possibly interfering for the Laurinaitis team. 

Punk's Family Affair

Members of CM Punk's family will be at ringside for the match. Jericho will mock them during the match, giving Punk more fuel for his fire. (Bonus prediction: Punk’s sister will actually slap Jericho!)

HB-Turncoat

Shawn Michaels will cost HHH the match by super kicking him. Undertaker will reluctantly pick up a weakened HHH, Tombstone him to take the pin, and will be disgusted by it and with HBK.

Cena Gives Everyone What They Want

Rock will beat Cena by Rock Bottoming him on a chair, causing Cena to snap and beat the living crap out of the Rock after the match with the same chair and severely injuring him. Despite this, he won't turn heel but will apologize the next night on Raw, saying he just "lost it." It won't fly with the Rock or the locker room, and he will lose a lot of respect. Even though he said he wouldn't, the foundation would be laid out for a heel turn.
