10 Scorching MLB Takes 🌶️

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Paul Goldschmidt, 1B, Arizona Diamondbacks
Goldschmidt got 156 major league at-bats after his call up last season. He hit just .250, but also belted eight home runs, 26 RBI and scored 28 runs.
His batting average will improve as he adjusts to major league pitching and his numbers are impressive last season given that he went straight from Double-A to the majors.
In Double-A last season, he hit .306 with 30 home runs and posting an OPS of 1.061.
Goldschmidt is probably still a season away from reaching his major league potential, but he is a good enough hitter to be a nice mid-round pick this year.
Jemile Weeks, 2B, Oakland Athletics
Weeks is an up-and-coming second baseman. He isn't going to give you any power, but he racks up hits and steals.
In 406 at-bats last year, Weeks hit .303. He also stole 22 bases in 33 attempts. The 25-year-old is still improving and as his pitch selection improves his numbers will go up. He has the potential to be a .400 OBP guy.
Weeks will get plenty of at-bats this season and he will produce hits, steals and runs.
Madison Bumgarner, SP, San Francisco Giants
Bumgarner ended last season with a 3.21 ERA while going 13-13. He also recorded 191 batters in his 33 starts.
That is a decent season and he was at his best in the second half. He had nine wins following the All-Star break and lowered his ERA and WHIP.
Bumgarner will get over 30 starts again this year and he will get a solid number of strikeouts and should have a better record than last year. He is a solid option as a No. 2 starting pitcher.
