Wrestlemania 28 Predictions: Expect Lame Chris Jericho and CM Punk Finish

I can see it already.

The raucous Miami crowd is going to behold an epic WrestleMania match between the two best pure wrestlers in the sport in Chris Jericho and CM Punk. The action is going to feature plenty of jaw-dropping stunts and enough twists and turns to make a pretzel.

But once the winner has been announced, booing will shower the stage.

The WWE creative team knows what they have with this battle and have yet to completely flesh it out. As any wrestling fan knows, squeezing the most juice out of a feud is not just a goal, but a prerequisite for the world of WWE.

Jericho is going to win and claim the “Best in the World” title that Punk had been hogging since October. However, it’s going to be on some sort of stupid technicality that leaves the door wide open for the feud to continue.

Remember in the Elimination Chamber when Jericho was knocked out with a “head injury” that meant Y2J never officially lost? I envision something very similar happening…this time to Punk.

What will it be? A celebrity ref that has a vendetta? A WWE super-star of the past crashes the party after being sick of watching Punk dominate the sport?

Something will pop up, creating a huge buzz for a future fight just minutes after this one ends.

That way, Punk can furiously demand another match at Monday Night Raw for the next few weeks, until the next big PPV event. That’s when Punk will exact his “revenge” on the injustices of the way WrestleMania played out.

Once The Rock whoops John Cena and goes back to Hollywood, the WWE will be lacking compelling feuds. With the way Jericho keeps taking cheap shots at Punk’s family history and the way the champ responded last week at RAW, there is no reason to douse the flames now.

So don’t be pissed off when you aren’t satisfied with the Punk-Jericho ending at WrestleMania because Sunday night is just one chapter in this epic tale.
