WrestleMania 28: Brock Lesnar Needs to Show Up at WWE's Biggest Event

Adam WellsJun 2, 2018

When Brock Lesnar retired from UFC last December, the first thing that everyone thought was, "When is he coming back to WWE?"

With Lesnar being open to doing a match at WrestleMania 29, according to F4Wonline.com (via WrestleZone.com), there is no better time to have him make an appearance with the company than at this year's show in Miami.

The story is so simple to set up that WWE would be foolish to pass it up. All they have to do is re-create the scene from UFC 121 in October 2010, but reverse it.

After Undertaker defeats Triple H in their Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania 28, he is celebrating in the ring. Then, as he is walking to the back, Taker locks eyes with Lesnar, who is sitting in the front row.

This would give WWE all the build they need for WrestleMania 29. Fans will immediately latch on to it, because they know the story of what happened nearly 18 months ago.

There are reports from Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer that WWE is already looking into a plan for Undertaker's match at next year's WrestleMania. His opponent has to be someone worthy of carrying the torch that Shawn Michaels and Triple H have lit over the last four years.

Lesnar, while he may be rusty in the ring, certainly has the pedigree and cache to make a match with Undertaker feel special. If he is really interested in making his WWE comeback a successful one, he can have a great performance.

Whatever your opinion of Lesnar's MMA career, he is still a freakish athlete who can do things that few other big men can do.

With a story this golden, which could potentially generate millions of dollars in revenue and bring widespread media attention, WWE has to get Lesnar to not only appear at WrestleMania 28, but shoot some sort of small angle with Undertaker.

Everyone has been expecting them to wrestle since October 2010. With nothing standing in the way of it in 2013, there is no better way to set it up than having him show up at WrestleMania 28.
