WWE WrestleMania 28: Picture of the PPV's Ring Set and Structure

Drake OzJun 7, 2018

WrestleMania 28 is going to take place in Sun Life Stadium in Miami, which, as you probably know, is an outdoor stadium.

This may not be a problem for football teams, but we all know that the WWE needs to hang about 18,000 things from the ceiling of arenas, and obviously, there’s no ceiling at Sun Life.

Of course, this has happened to the WWE in the past. WrestleMania 24 took place in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando in 2008, and the WWE had to build a structure to support the lighting above the ring and be able to hold the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Only, this year the WWE has a much bigger problem: Trying to suspend the Hell in a Cell.

There have been all sorts of debates about how the WWE will manage to build a structure that is stable enough to support the cell while also not blocking the view of fans who are sitting in the middle and top sections of the stadium.

No worries. The WWE has found a solution.

Check out this photo from WrestleZone.com of the WrestleMania 28 ring structure that is currently being built inside Sun Life Stadium:

While the structure isn’t exactly ideal and will probably prevent some people in the nosebleeds section from getting a great view of the ring, this looks to be about the best the WWE can do.

I still think that WrestleManias are best held in indoor stadiums, which make the crowd seem a little louder and prevent the WWE from having to worry about the elements. But if the weather is fine on Sunday, there shouldn’t be much of an issue with this structure.

Most fans there probably won’t even care, anyway. They’ll be so jacked about being at WrestleMania that nothing’s going to stop them from enjoying what should be a hell of a show.

Note: As part of the new WWE blog, I'll be asking all of the B/R wrestling readers for questions for a new mailbag that I will post on Fridays. It will be a slideshow featuring 10-20 questions and answers on a wide range of topics. You can submit questions either through Formspring or Twitter, and the best ones will be answered in the B/R mailbag.
