WrestleMania 28: Power Ranking Most Promising Superstars in 12-Man Tag Match
Additions were made to both Team Teddy and Team Johnny on Monday Night Raw to bring each side to six participants for the massive tag-team match at WrestleMania. The Miz and Drew McIntyre were selected by John Laurinaitis while Teddy Long picked Booker T.
Here are three superstars with the brightest futures once the hype from WrestleMania dies down and more elaborate builds have time to develop.
1. The Miz

Modern-Day Dream Matches 💭

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
After headlining the last year's biggest event, The Miz has been relegated to tag-team duty because there wasn't anywhere else for him to go. He's been losing virtually every match for months and has been made to look weak at every possible turn.
That said, I don't view it as the company burying The Miz. Instead, the creative team keeps lowering expectations so his next push—which should be huge—comes off as even more impressive. It's an overlooked tactic that actually works great.
The Miz has established himself as an elite heel. He's simply too talented to keep being booked poorly for much longer. Once The Rock, Undertaker and the other veterans depart the picture for awhile, he'll return to the top.
2. Dolph Ziggler
It appeared like Ziggler was ready to take the next step after dropping the United States title to fan favorite Zack Ryder, but instead he's been underutilized, and WrestleMania hasn't helped him build up any meaningful momentum.
He's developed into one of the WWE's best in-ring workers after a lot of hard work. Now all he needs is a chance to prove himself, both in high-profile matches and on the mic, because he has all the tools to be the next great superstar.
Hopefully he's able to have a good showing in the tag-team match and parlays that into more opportunities moving forward. There will be openings in the main event scene after WrestleMania—it will just come down to who impresses enough to earn one.
3. Zack Ryder
Ryder got involved in a storyline with John Cena, Kane and Eve that destroyed his build, so now he has to work his way back into the mix starting with the tag match. He's still one of the most popular superstars, giving him a chance to rise quickly.
It was nice to see Ryder finally getting his chance to shine after being a jobber for so long. He did a lot to get noticed, so hopefully a one-month run as United States champion won't be the extent of his push. He has earned more than that.
Unfortunately for him, a fellow Team Teddy member currently holds the United States belt and has a similar over-the-top gimmick. So either he needs to undergo a heel turn or head over to SmackDown to get back into a title picture.
