The Rock vs. John Cena: 5 Bold Predictions for Historic WrestleMania Match

Currently, there is not one wrestling match that is bigger than the Rock vs. John Cena at WrestleMania 28. 

In six days two of the most iconic superstars in WWE history are going to lock horns and try to come out as the victor. The WWE Universe has been anticipating this matchup for years now and in only six days, it will be a dream come true. 

After all the promos, the one hour special prior to RAW last night, the Rock concert, the Cena rap, the fruity pebbles and all the boots to asses, the match between the two superstars is near.

Many fans of the WWE have speculated that Cena will once again rise above and come out the victor against the Rock because he needs it more. Other fans, but not as many, have said that the Rock will win because he is the best WWE superstar of all time. 

No one really knows what will happen on that night, but here are some very bold predictions on what might occur. 

The Miz Interferes in the Match

This may not be very bold because it has been reported that the Miz might interfere in the match.

This report was from about a week or two ago when it was said that the Miz might not be booked for a match at WrestleMania.This has all changed because he will now join Team Johnny in the 6 on 6 battle at 'Mania. 

This does not mean that he won't get involved. 

The Miz has been on such a bad losing streak that his hometown football team, the Browns, are disgusted. The Miz might very well interfere in the match and destroy both the Rock and Cena once they are both out of gas. He will not choose a side if he enters the ring, he will just attack both of them. 

The WWE Universe would hate to see one of the biggest matches of all time get tainted by the Miz and his interference, but it just might happen. 

The Rock Wins Dirty

Considering there is a 50/50 chance on the Rock winning this match, saying he will win is not very bold. Saying he will win dirty is very bold, and it may just happen. 

This match has no heel or face, but that does not mean one of the two might not pull of some sort of heel tactic for the victory. There will be a moment in this match where the referee goes down and the door will be open for the Rock to find a weapon to help him win.

If it is not a weapon, it may be someone in the locker room that has a beef with Cena. Maybe the Miz or Lord Tensai, who has been rumored to feud with Cena after WrestleMania, may come to the Rock's aid and help defeat Cena.

If the Rock does win the match, dirty is the only way he will win it. As a fan of the WWE, this should not come as a surprise because Cena rarely loses clean. 

John Cena Wins Dirty

Cena winning dirty is something that has not happened in a very long time, but it just might happen on Sunday. 

The Dr. of Thuganomics has gone on the record plenty of times saying that the Rock turned his back on the WWE and all of the fans and some people started to agree with him. Not only did the fans agree, but an anonymous wrestler backstage agreed with him. 

The identity of the man who agreed with Cena was not revealed, but what if it is revealed on Sunday. The same scenario may occur when the referee is down and the anonymous wrestler enters the ring to help Cena defeat the Rock.

Although this may make Cena look weak, it might give the fans something to cheer for because that is would make for a perfect heel turn for leader of Cenation. 

Cena Turns Heel

Regardless of whether or not Cena wins the match like the previous slide stated, this may very well occur. 

As he walks into the arena and he notices that the Rock's hometown crowd is raining down on Cena it may just flip a switch in his head. It may not as be as bad as Chicago was during the Money in the Bank PPV, but this is much bigger, this is WrestleMania against the Rock.

Cena has endured all the hate from the fans throughout the past year. All the fruity pebbles and lady parts chants may have been enough for him to do what the fans, and Kane, have wanted him to do all along—embrace the hate.  

This can happen in one of two ways:

1. Cena calls for the "anonymous wrestler" that called the Rock out to help him win dirty.

2. The match comes to an end and as the two competitors are ready to shake hands Cena grabs the Rock's hand and gives him an Attitude Adjustment and follows it up with an STF that will be broken up by the referee's. 

In either scenario, the heat on Cena will rise above and beyond the hatred that has built up in his heart. 

WrestleMania 29 Rematch Is Set After the Match Is over

Although there have been some rumors about a rematch between the two at WrestleMania 29, it is tough to believe it. 

The WWE has promoted this match as a "once in a lifetime" match and that would be tainted if the two met again next year in New York. The Rock has already confirmed that he would be at WrestleMania 29, but that does not mean he will face Cena again, or does it? 

If the Rock comes out the victor in this match then there will definitely be a rematch. Cena would not be able to continue his WWE career knowing that he lost the biggest match in his career. Like Cena has stated, "this match means everything to me", and it does mean a lot to him because this is his primary career. 

However, if Cena wins then the Rock may ask for a shot at retribution. The Rock stated last night that he has to defeat Cena so he can boast about beating Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, and Cena in his wrestling career. That truly means a lot to the Rock and he may just tease Cena enough to make sure he agrees to the rematch. 

Regardless of who wins the match, it may be safe to expect that the WWE will push a rematch next year. The loser of the match will not be able to live with the fact that he did not win the biggest match of the year. That regret might stir enough to emotion to bring about a rematch of one of the most anticipated matches in WWE history.
