2012 NFL Mock Draft: Offensive Studs That Are Rising on Draft Boards
As we get closer to the 2012 NFL draft, more and more colleges across the country have completed their pro days, giving players one last opportunity to impress scouts and coaches and bolster their stock in April's draft.
For some players, these workouts are a mere formality, while others—like Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill—can sometimes see their stock boosted by outside factors.
But for the following offensive standouts, strong workouts have sent their names jumping up the draft boards of teams across the NFL.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
David Wilson—RB, Virginia Tech
There is no clear-cut No. 2 running back in this year's draft class behind Alabama's Trent Richardson, but Virginia Tech running back David Wilson recently told WSLS-TV in Roanoke, Virginia that he's enjoying every step of his journey towards staking his claim to that spot. Wilson said:
"The whole thing is one big memory. Ever since I said I was declaring to getting drafted, it’s going to be one big memory for me. It’s been something I’ve been working towards for a long time. To be this close and knowing I’m going to get my chance is a good feeling."
"I definitely feel like I’m the best running back in the draft and will have a very successful career to whatever NFL team I go to.
"
The 5'10", 206-pound Wilson, who rushed for over 1,700 yards in 2011 en route to being named a second team All-American, has enjoyed solid outings at the NFL combine and Virginia Tech's pro day.
With visits scheduled with the Cleveland Browns, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Francisco 49ers, it doesn't appear that Wilson will last past the first part of the draft's second round.
Coby Fleener—TE, Stanford
Stanford tight end Coby Fleener is among a trio of players vying to be the first tight end off the board in the 2012 NFL draft, and after a senior season that saw the 6'6", 247-pound Fleener rack up 667 yards and 10 touchdowns Fleener has continued making his case with a strong offseason of workouts.
Fleener ran very well at Stanford's recent pro day, and as Evan Silva of Pro Football Talk reports, the display of speed and athleticism that Fleener put on may have been enough to boost him into the back end of the first round of April's draft. According to Silva:
"Multiple reports had Fleener running in the mid-4.4s in the forty. ESPN’s Todd McShay had Fleener at 4.45, and so did CBS’ Bruce Feldman.
Mayock’s stopwatch read 4.51, but it’s still a very fast time for a 6-foot-6, 247-pound human being.
'That is flying at 247,' said Mayock. Mayock also reported that Fleener had a 37-inch vertical and broad jump north of 10-feet. 'They’re extremely athletic numbers,' Mayock added. 'Those are defensive back, wide receiver-type numbers.'

Amini Silatolu—OT, Midwestern State
A big man from a small school, offensive tackle Amini Silatolu of Division II Midwestern State is 6'4" and 311 pounds of bad intentions. He's a mauling blocker who merits consideration in the first round of the NFL draft in April, according to Russ Lande of the Sporting News:
"Silatolu plays with great pad level and hip/knee flex upon contact. He is violent and aggressive with his hands to punch the pass rusher, while still playing with balance and staying over his feet. After delivering an initial punch, he does an excellent job of re-coiling and punching pass rushers a second time.
Silatolu can re-direct his body to stone a stunting defensive lineman or a blitzing linebacker. He shows exceptional instincts and football awareness in every situation.
"
There is some question regarding the level of competition that Silatolu faced in college, and his lack of height and relatively short arms may portend a move to guard in the National Football League.
But after an impressive showing at the NFL combine and Midwestern State's pro day Silatolu is quite possibly the fastest-climbing offensive line prospect in this year's draft class as things stand today.
