WWE RAW: Complete Preview, Rumors, News and More for March 26

Jun 6, 2018

With just under a week before the biggest event in the history of the WWE, this week’s edition of RAW will be the go-home show before WrestleMania 28. WWE will be tying up any loose ends and ensuring that people are as invested in this PPV card as they possibly could be.

Look for very little furthering of storyline on tonight’s episode, but look for a retread of most of the promos we have seen cut already. While this show will be far less exciting than most, WWE has gone into a holding pattern to endure Sunday’s show is as great as it can be.

The Rock vs. John Cena Special

For an hour before tonight’s official RAW broadcast, the WWE will run a special on the biggest match in the company’s history (John Cena vs. The Rock) on the USA Network. While the hope from the fans is that this will mean no long promos during the show, this week’s RAW is a giant ad for WrestleMania.

With the company’s need to blow this show out, their dedication to selling it is fine, but the constant promos about the top match have grown tiring for the fans that watch all the time.

As much as seeing another Rock vs. Cena promo could throw me into a self-destructive rampage, knowing that it’s the last week of seeing them will make it all easier to swallow.

RAW Preview

With WrestleMania weekend within spitting distance, the WWE has shifted into full-on preparation mode for the PPV. That means RAW should be just a lackluster recap of what will be going on Sunday.

There are still small uncertainties left to be handled, most namely the final member s in the GM Battles, but the card is more than likely completely set. The only thing left to do is finish announcing the WWE Hall of Fame inductees of 2012.

With the Saturday before WrestleMania begin dedicated to the induction of the newest class into the Hall of Fame, RAW should feature a healthy dosage of past and present stars to get the crowd excited for the induction ceremony and the Sunday event that follows it.

Rumors Going Into RAW

Mick Foley—With one subtle tease on Twitter, there looks to be a chance that Mick Foley could be the final member of Team Teddy at WrestleMania. As much as people talk about pushing the young talent, adding Foley to Long’s side is a genius move if it comes to fruition.

"

Guess it's about time I listen to some of these voice-mails from Teddy Long. Wonder what he wants. Catch you all tomorrow.

— Mick Foley (@realMickFoley) March 26, 2012"

The Miz—With no match still for WrestleMania, one of the best storylines leading up to the event has been the Miz’s hunt for respect. With his status still unclear (minus working an extended house show match with Brodus Clay, wink, wink), Miz wrote on Twitter that he would be making his mark tonight.

"

A statement will be made on #Raw, @WWERawGM. I guarantee it. #MizMania

— The Miz (@mikethemiz) March 24, 2012"

Alberto Del Rio—According to WrestleZone, the apparent plan to have the final members of Team Johnny and Team Teddy be Rey Mysterio and Alberto Del Rio are not going to happen. It was during a live show in Puerto Rico that ADR told the crowd he would not be participating this year. What a shame.
