WWE Wrestlemania 28: 7 Things the Last RAW Needs to Add to the Event

Julian SalinasJun 7, 2018

Get ready for the last Raw SuperShow before the biggest event in wrestling, Wrestlemania.

This is the last chance the company has to hype up the event, or add a little something else to the Pay-Per-View feature. The majority of the matches have been advertised fairly well, but I don't think adding a little more will be overkill.

It can be something minor, or truly over-the-top to get the job done. And I'm here to list those situations.

Let's not waste any more time, and start!

Advertise the Divas Match!

1 of 8

I admit, the Divas Match isn't something I'm excited about. I try and like the divas, but WWE just doesn't want to push them correctly.

This match shouldn't even be a tag match, it should be a singles competition for the Diva title. But I think we should be grateful that Beth actually got added to the match, since she was fading from the weekly shows.

Last week, they showed a clip from the TV show Menounos, where she was interviewing Kelly, but Eve and Beth came in and called them out. This is an okay start, but you need something to get some people hooked.

Maybe have Kelly on a match tomorrow, but just when she's going to win, Eve and Phoenix can come out and beat her up in ringside, and then have Maria make the save, somehow.

A John Cena Comeback

2 of 8

Last week, the Rock cut a really good promo and gave a tour of the Rock's past with Stone Cold and Hulk Hogan. He also explained how beating Cena is the last thing on his list to become the greatest of all time.

At the end of that promo, he said he was going to confront John Cena face-to-face. And after John's match with Mark Henry, which he won, Rock delivered a Rock Bottom to the Strongest Man. This obviously proved the Rock still has a lot of strength.

Now, John Cena seems a bit weaker than the Rock. If the company wants them to seem neck and neck, Cena might need to have to show a great power move.

In his match with Henry, he seemed to be in a lot of trouble. Maybe it could be a rematch, where Cena dominates.

Or, have Cena and Rock in a big battle of words, where at the end, the fans and commentary team won't know who won it.

Have at Least One Member of the Tag Match Announced

3 of 8

One more member is needed for both teams in the Teddy vs. Johnny saga. Since it's Raw, I think it would be better to have Laurinaitis have his team completed by the end of Monday night.

But, if done right, Teddy could reveal his last pick after Johnny does it, or by himself, and let Johnny show his last teammate at Smackdown.

Either way, at least one of the members should be announced, because announcing both of them at Smackdown would be a bad idea. The reaction isn't the same when it isn't live.

Have Kane Attack Orton

4 of 8

The last few weeks, Orton has gained the upper hand against the Big Red Monster. And the problem is that Kane is supposed to be a "monster." How can you have a big man like Kane beaten up so easily, even if it's Randy Orton?

It's pretty obvious Orton is going to win, but the WWE is making it too obvious. If the company wants Kane to seems a bit less weak, they should have him go on a rampage and make him look crazy, like with John Cena and Zack Ryder.

Have Daniel Bryan Look Strong

5 of 8

Like Kane and Orton, Daniel Bryan has been weak against Sheamus.

The Great White has been winning non-stop since his Rumble win, but Bryan has been winning thanks to his sneakiness and his use of other people to protect him. This makes him look like a great heel, but also makes him seem incapable to win a match without pulling some strings.

That said, it would be great if he had a match at Raw against a face from the upper mid-card, and lost  clean via submission. Better yet, a loss by pin-fall would show that Daniel isn't just good at making an enemy tap, but can pin you easily too.

I know that he made Ryder tap last week, but I'm referring to someone who's more credible than Zack in the moment.

Have Triple H and HBK Bicker

6 of 8

Last week, Undertaker closed the show by expressing that Shawn Michaels is better than Triple H, and left Hunter and HBK proudly staring at each other.

This week, Triple H needs to address what Taker said, and have Shawn Michaels debate with him. This can be a little difficult. The company doesn't want to sell out the fact that Shawn won't help Triple H after all, so the match can be more exciting and unexpected.

Oh, and maybe have a quick Undertaker on-screen appearance.

A Mic Showdown Between Y2J and CM Punk

7 of 8

Punk gave a great emotional comeback last week, responding to Jericho's accusations about Punk's father being an alcoholic.

After the segment, Jericho appeared on the screen and revealed that not only is CM Punk's father an alcoholic, but her sister is a drug addict. He finished by saying that Punk will have to drink sometime.

CM Punk needs to respond to this, but at the same time Jericho needs to level the playing field after Punk's response.

The easiest way to do this might be having them both in the ring debating the situation. In the end CM Punk will be angry enough to beat Jericho at Wrestlemania no matter what, but Y2J will feel proud of making Punk go over the edge.

In the end, you never know what the WWE will actually do on Raw. It can do what I list here, but in a whole different and surprising way.

This episode is very important, and I'd recommend not missing it.
