WWE WrestleMania 28: Maria Menounos and the 5 Worst Celebrity Appearances Ever
Full disclosure, it is hard for me to say that Maria Menounos will be one of the worst celebrity appearances ever.
That being said, I do have my doubts that she will actually be good. Mostly due to the nature of how this match was thrown together in the last minute.
Don't get me wrong, I do realize she has been in the ring twice before and did a decent job holding her own.
However, Menounos should not be involved in a match at WrestleMania. Especially not one involving the current Divas champ. I understand that adding Menounos to the line-up gives the WWE yet one more outlet to promote WrestleMania.
However, is this the best way to go about it?
I personally feel she would be better suited as a guest manager for one of Phoenix's opponents. Especially considering Menounos's mic work leaves much to be desired.
Yes, she is a good interviewer and teleprompter reader, but her spontaneous work has been sub-par. This is evident by her recent work when the Divas champ came to the Extra set to propose the challenge.
In the end, only time will tell if she will truly be worthy of the company I have placed her in.
Keep in mind, I may have missed your favorite celebrity appearances; if that's the case, post them in the comments section.
Also, if you like what you have read, don't be shy, become a fan.
Kim Kardashian
1 of 5To this day, I don't understand why Kim Kardashian was allowed to have the mic as long as she did.
For obvious reasons, she is not a performer or a great off the cuff speaker.
Yet for some reason, the WWE allowed her to partake in way too many segments that involved her talking.
Floyd "Money" Mayweather
2 of 5Yes, he is an amazing boxer, and has proved that he is a top performer.
However, that does not give him the right to step in the ring against the biggest wrestler WWE has to offer.
Don't get me wrong, I understand the reason he was slated for WrestleMania, but Mayweather should never have been allowed in the ring.
Ideally, he should have been the corner man for a wrestler and used his knockout punch to help his guy win.
Lawrence Taylor
3 of 5Lawrence Taylor took the "5 Moves of Doom" phrase way too literally.
He somehow beat a seasoned veteran with several forearm shots and used a flying forearm to finish him off.
Don't get me wrong, I wasn't expecting a 5-star match from L.T. However, he could have at least taken in some lessons to make it look convincing.
Ozzy Ozzborne
4 of 5Sadly, for many rock fans, "The Prince of Darkness" had a lackluster appearance at WrestleMania 2.
During the event, he cut a quick interview with "Mean" Gene Okerlund. Then he took a backseat role as corner man for the British Bulldogs alongside "Captain" Lou Albano.
In fact, his performance was so insignificant I was unable to produce a video with him in it.
Had this been later in Ozzy's career, he may seen a better appearance from the rocker.
Pamela Anderson and Jenny McCarthy
5 of 5Ultimately, these two played the role of the hot valet to a tee and that's it.
Even though there were chances for both to be involved in the match in some facet, it never happens.
For starters, earlier in the evening there was build up as to what happened to Shawn Michaels's original valet, Pamela Anderson.
Later, we would find out that she was backing Diesel. Personally, once she appeared with Diesel, I feel she should of played a bigger role in the outcome of the match.
Now, onto Jenny McCarthy. After appearing to be a part of Team Shawn, fans witnessed McCarthy switch sides during the match and later celebrate in the ring with Diesel.
Ultimately, fans should have witnessed McCarthy pull some shenanigans against Michaels during the match. However, as we all know, that was not the case. Instead, we witnessed two women sit on chairs and clap.
In the end, these two would have been better served staying out home, rather than wasting WWE money.
