28 Days of 'Mania: The Miz Can Help Both The Rock and John Cena
Disclaimer: This will be an ongoing series for the next 28 days leading up to the biggest event in sports entertainment, WrestleMania 28. The idea behind the piece is to build more momentum for the event and give you, the Bleacher Report fan, a chance to read, comment and weigh in with opinions about the WWE, the business and the event. It is my hope this becomes something positive and we all enjoy the ride for the next four weeks to Miami and the biggest event of the wrestling year. Enjoy.
If you believe the rumors and spoiler reports all over the Internet about the match between The Rock and John Cena, then you already know what happens and how the outcome may be determined.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
But as I write this article, I am of a different frame of mind (no comments from the peanut gallery) and think this may be the only way The Rock and Cena both come out of this event more popular than ever.
And The Miz can be thanked for his involvement.
There are many reasons why this match is either building steam heading into the event next weekend or it is falling apart because of time and that fans are just tired of he hoopla surrounding it. I know, however, from the events of the last few months, we don't want a rematch in WrestleMania 29 because another year of build may kill the company.
Right now, The Miz holds all the cards.
As a fan, I want a clean match between two men who, as it appears, really have heat for each other and the build up to this match, for whatever reason done by corporate and creative, better live up to the hype or there will be some pretty pissed fans leaving South Beach. This has a chance to be better than Rock/Austin if everything falls into place, but nothing has so far.
The Rock is not connecting with the new fans of this decade. The ones who followed him seven years ago don't find him as appealing. Cena keeps a level head and puts his "Doctor of Thuganomics" character on and gets a lot of play from the fans. And to be honest, Cena is the Tim Tebow of professional wrestling. There is a hard line for him either way and nothing in between.
My scenario for the match is simple. And I pray this is the way it turns out.
The Rock and Cena go for about 25 minutes and give everyone the show they are looking for. The Rock is spot on. Cena is selling for The Rock and vice versa. In the end, Rock pins Cena. The crowd goes wild because the match was one of the best of the night (no, it does not reach Rock/Austin standards).
The two glare at each other after the match and shake hands. Cena leaves the match and walks up the ramp where he is attacked by The Miz. The Rock stops his celebration with the millions of fans and then runs up the ramp to kick The Miz's candy ass.
Rock brings The Miz into the ring and pummels him again and again. Cena jumps into the ring and together, The Rock and Cena rid the squared circle of the invader. The two again shake hands and raise each other's arm in victory.
It's kind of cheesy and a lot like WrestleMania 18 between The Rock and Hulk Hogan, but it needs to be done. We need both of our heroes to be champions. If not, there is no real solution.
And we really don't want another year of waiting to see what happens next.
And to think we wouldn't see The Miz when all along, the "heel" is saving the day.
