WrestleMania 28 Matches: Bold Predictions For Championship Matches
Three major singles titles are on the line for WrestleMania 28, and I've got predictions for each. It seems that each of them will take a backseat to the Rock vs. John Cena and Triple H vs. The Undertaker, with Shawn Michaels there in some capacity.
Nonetheless, when gold is at stake, fans will pay attention to the title matches. Rightfully so, I'm one of those fans who believes championship matches should always headline pay-per-views— but it's not the case here. Somehow I think fans would still stick around to see CM Punk take on Chris Jericho.
Now that I got that off my chest, here are the predictions for the three title matches scheduled for WrestleMania 28:

Intercontinental Championship - Big Show vs. (c) Cody Rhodes
I must admit that I got a kick out of watching Cody Rhodes tee off on a handcuffed Big Show on March 19. The big red boxing gloves seemed like balloons on his hands, and the Show's reaction was priceless.
However, it still didn't make their feud that interesting.
It seems that the WWE doesn't have a clear plan for either of them, as both men appear to be headed in opposite directions. Rhodes is certainly on his way to main event status, while the Show has had his time, and is in limbo. The specifics for both seem to be up in the air.
At WrestleMania 28, I believe their paths will continue the same way. Cody will score an impressive victory over the Giant that will further solidify his up-and-coming status.
I'm not sure if the Show will begin a "I've been disrespected for too long" angle for another push into main-event status. But he certainly has seen better days.
Rhodes will retain his title, but what's next for him?
I don't even think the WWE knows.
World Heavyweight Championship - Sheamus vs. (c) Daniel Bryan
Yes! Yes! Yes!
No...No...No. Bryan is terrible as a heel in my opinion, and as much as I'd love to see Sheamus put a boot to him, I don't think that will happen.
Bryan is on his way up, and his male-domination angle over AJ is destined for more air time. Bryan will be a main event attraction very soon. There could be a feud with CM Punk coming up in the next six to eight months.
Prepared to be more annoyed as Bryan continues his success against former champions with a win over Sheamus.
WWE Championship - Chris Jericho vs. (c) CM Punk
This is a touchy subject for Punk fans. They don't want to see or hear anything about Punk losing the title.
Sorry to break it to you little Punksters, but Jericho will be victorious at WrestleMania 28. The angle has become very personal for Punk, and this isn't something the WWE is likely to abandon quickly.
I see this as a beginning of a losing streak, that will play into the alcoholic angle the WWE is building.
Don't fret, it's only to build his character, and overall appeal. It's also to give Jericho a taste of ultimate glory in his short lived return to the ring.
Punk will be back on top soon enough.
