MLB Spring Training 2012: Boston Red Sox Reliever Bobby Jenks Charged with DUI
As if things couldn't get any worse for the former All-Star closer, it was reported by Hardball Talk that Bobby Jenks was arrested this morning and was charged with DUI, property damage and hit-and-run. You can view the full report from the Lee County Sheriff's Office here.
CBS Boston has reported that Jenks told officers that he was taking muscle relaxers and did produce a .000 BAC level. He's due in court on April 9th, according to those reports.
Since signing with the Boston Red Sox in December of 2010, it's been an absolute disaster for Jenks.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Last season he only appeared in 19 games with Boston, with injuries plaguing the majority of his season. In that short time, Jenks went 2-2 with a 6.32 ERA, allowing 11 earned runs in 15.2 innings of work.
In May of last year, Jenks was placed on the 15-day disabled list after a right bicep strain. Just about a month later, he again found himself on the DL because of discomfort in his back. In late September, he was placed on the 60-day DL with back stiffness.
This offseason, Jenks received surgery on his back and then had to have emergency surgery just a few weeks later due to complications from the previous surgery, according to NESN.
Jenks is currently on the 60-day DL and should remain there for a majority, if not all of next season.
He is scheduled to make $6 million this season.
The issues keep piling up for the troubled reliever.
