WWE SmackDown: Spoiler-Free Preview of This Week's Episode (March 23)

There are only two episodes left of Friday Night Smackdown before the WWE invades Miami for WrestleMania 28. 

This might be one of the last times we see the Smackdown roster as it currently stands before the annual WWE draft likely takes place within the next few months.

Let’s enjoy it while it lasts. 

Here is a spoiler-free preview of the March 23 edition of Friday Night Smackdown:

Promo between Daniel Bryan and Sheamus 

World heavyweight champion Daniel Bryan starts the show off with what I’m sure will be a heat-generating promo. AJ is by his side, and Sheamus makes an appearance as well. 

The promos between the world heavyweight champion and his No. 1 contender have been limited, so it’ll be interesting to see how the WWE plays this one.

Mark Henry vs. R-Truth 

A member of Team Teddy takes on Team Johnny in an attempt to build up some momentum just nine days away from WrestleMania 28.

Two Huge Announcements 

After the Henry/Truth match, the WWE announces the latest inductee into the Hall of Fame and also makes a huge announcement regarding the GM vs. GM match at WrestleMania 28.

AJ (with Daniel Bryan) vs. Brie Bella 

Daniel Bryan’s girlfriend takes on one of those twins in Newark, New Jersey, which isn’t far from her hometown of Union City.

Will she get the win in front of her hometown fans?

Zack Ryder takes on Jack Swagger 

Ryder hasn’t been able to get his hands on Swagger since the All-American American beat him for the United States championship a few months back.

“Long Island Iced Z” will be looking to end his slide and defeat the man who took his coveted US title.

The Big Show vs. Kane 

Two WrestleMania participants who have a lot of history with each other collide for the second time this week, but their Mania opponents may be lurking.

Brodus Clay vs. Heath Slater 

The Funkasaurus returns to Smackdown and looks to extend his winning streak against The One Man Southern Rock Band—whatever that is.

The Great Khali vs. Dolph Ziggler 

Christian joins the commentary team as a member of Team Long faces a member of Team Laurinaitis yet again. Will either of the two GMs be present?

Main Event: CM Punk and Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan and The Miz 

The WWE champion and the No. 1 contender for the world heavyweight championship team up once again to take on Bryan and a partner. Only, this time, Bryan’s teaming up with The Miz instead of Chris Jericho. 

The Miz is looking to end his losing streak, and Punk and Sheamus are looking to get a big victory before WrestleMania. However, what will happen when these four superstars collide? 

Tune in tomorrow night to see one of the last episodes of WWE TV before the biggest pay-per-view of the year.
